Diamond Tail is a beautiful small development with three great features: views, privacy, and sales management. There are no bad lots as the views are amazing in every direction. Most lots are 2-5 acres in size, and with the natural changes in topography you rarely see other houses. Brenda Johnson is the Director of Sales and couldn't be nicer or more helpful. No high pressure, just a genuine desire to show Diamond Tail's natural beauty and to work with clients to find the best setting for their own dream home.

Beautiful, but has a lot of rocks. There are views of hills of layering colors of sandstone. Some have views of the Jemez mountains, and some have views of the Sandia's. Would be great if the HOA/realtors didn't have so many rules. They control everything you do: houses must be NMexican style (which I like, by the way), leave land pretty much undisturbed (again, I like that idea too), any disturbing of YOUR land, right?, must be approved by the HOA, what slope your land must be at (I think 5°), so you either have to bring dirt in or remove it. Very costly! I think it's in the covenant about where to use the restroom. Sorry, because it's your home but, in the beginning, at least, it really isn't. Some lots require you to install a "water suppression system", but they don't tell you the exorbitant costs. They can start at $20,000 to have it installed. And a lot of rules. I hear they can be litigious. To sum it up, it is my own opinion, but, if you live there you better have a lot of time (a LOT of time), money, and be ready to have a helicopter mom constantly hovering. Just: Make sure you have a lot of money, which leaves most of us middle class, native New Mexicans, looking through a locked gate. Sorry, but true!

Beautiful area with well thought out roads and utilities, water and internet on the property lines. Got my tax bill and had sticker shock for an undeveloped lot, over $1200.00. Not good for investment property with taxes and HOA fees.

She supported us throughout the purchase, and house planning process. The community is well thought out, appears to be well maintained, and contains beautiful views. We’re eager to complete our home build!
