I’m not sure I can shop here anymore. The prices are actually out of control. I found more than 10 pairs of leggings today labeled as $25 each. The jeans are all $8-$15 each. The shoes are sometimes $20 or more. Baby clothes are more expensive.

Your mission statement clearly states “First, those who have will be given another type of opportunity to help those who have not. Second, waste will be reduced by keeping our possessions in use as long as possible. Third, the work of renovation will employ many now unemployed. Fourth, articles in common use, of good quality, will be available at a low cost”.

Over pricing goods at a thrift store violates every tenant you have listed in your mission statement. It promotes more waste ending up in landfills, it restricts those who wouldn’t have access to these goods in the first place, it puts greed over being a decent non profit that is supposed to better the community.

I believe this is happening specific in the Gilbert location and I think it is simply WRONG.

I haven’t been to Deseret Industries in over 10 years. Wow, this location is fancy, clean and loads of top brands. I still can’t believe for $100 I walked out with a 3 piece suit and 12 items... mostly dress pants, dress shirts and 3 ties. This is worth a stop... I would’ve easily spent over $400 for this much stuff.

After praising this place when they first opened, I'm in total agreement with the latest reviews regarding the price hikes. The stuff is DONATED aka FREE yet they are charging higher prices than ever. Not sure I'll continue to support either. May as well support the FOR profit corporation of Goodwill. This place is officially no better.

How has Deseret Industries helped my family?
1. Theyve let my disabled son and I.volunteer there so he can get work related experience.
2. I used to run a group employment at another Non profit that temporarily shut down and they let the group come work there with open arms.
3. My teens can afford to buy thwir own clothes there. clothing the family is affordable now
4. I work with ASD kids doing therapy and have found endless toys and activities there that keep my learners happy and busy. i oay 1 to 3$ an item.
Also they give back to humanitatian groups constantly.

Nice store, you can find anything in good prices, what I love is a return policy, usually in the second hand stores you can't return anything, in this one just keep the tag and the receipt.

Nicest second-hand store I've ever seen. Merchandise is very well priced, and the store is well staffed.

I went here for the first time the other day. I found some great steals! This is the cheapest thrift store I’ve been in yet. I was searching for a dress and was not disappointed. Their dress selection was good, but you have to do a little searching to find a gem. I got a brand new dress with tags still on for $10, it was originally $60. Everything else I bought was under $5. The one thing I didn’t like was their t-shirt selection. Everything seemed out of style, and just old, but I don’t think they’re supposed to be a trendy place. More of a goodwill or savers type, but better in my opinion. Or at the very least not my taste in clothes. One thing I did find strange was the guy at the check out was checking every single bill he got for counterfeit, not just 100s and 50s like places usually do. But you can find some real gems here for hardly any money.
