Deli Belly truly stands out as a gem in the San Elijo area, and my visits have been nothing short of delightful. Having stopped by multiple times since their opening, I've consistently enjoyed excellent sandwiches that reflect the dedication of the owner, Vince, and his team.

Despite the inevitable buzz that accompanies a new establishment, the customer service at Deli Belly remains commendable. Even during peak hours, my orders were promptly and accurately fulfilled. Vince, the owner, personally assisted me on two occasions, showcasing not only efficiency but also a welcoming and helpful demeanor.

The cozy deli, complete with interior seating, is well-maintained and exudes a clean atmosphere. Convenient parking in the shopping center adds to the overall accessibility of the place.

Now, let's talk about the real stars of Deli Belly – the sandwiches. I had the pleasure of savoring both the Reuben, Double New Yorker, and the New York Double, Chipotle So Gouda, Roast beef on sourdough, Sweet n' Smokey Giant and all left an impression. Generous portions of high-quality Boars Head meats, perfectly toasted bread (whether thin and fresh rye or thick and crispy white sub bread), and just the right amount of flavorful sauces made all of these sandwiches unique and delicious. The meats were tasty without being overly salty, a testament to the consistent quality of Boars Head.

What helped take these meals to the next level were the unexpected delicious sides. The chili, reminiscent of what you'd smother over a hot dog, had a delightful liquid consistency with extra chunks that elevated it beyond ordinary chili. The potato salad, personally reminiscent of my own recipe, added a comforting touch. Best Pastrami in San Diego! You wouldn’t know it from the outside, but they prepare the best authentic Pastrami Sandwiches with toasted rye bread, Italian dressing, and Dijon mustard . The sandwich I like best is the “Rancho Overload” but they are all super good. A tad bit pricey but definitely worth the 13$. Can’t wait to go back next week!

I just tried the barbecue beef. It was quite tasty and hearty. Some sandwich places will douse their sandwich with barbecue sauce. This place put just the right amount of sauce on it! Yummy!

This place is hands down my favorite sandwich spot to eat at in San Marcos. I highly suggest coming here for lunch in you are in the area
