Review of Customer Shipping and Pick-Up Procedure – Crate & Barrel @ Short Hills

I absolutely love shopping at Crate & Barrel in Short Hills and visit frequently. However, when I shop online and have items shipped to me, I often run into issues. If my order ships via FedEx, everything arrives perfectly. But when it's shipped with Inland, I never receive my packages. It always ends up at another home. The delivery photo clearly shows the mistake—my home is white, but the package is consistently left at a brown house. Each time, I have to call customer service and request a reshipment via FedEx.

To avoid this hassle, I decided to try their store pick-up service this time. I needed my items for an event next weekend and didn’t want to risk another shipping mishap with Inland.

I placed my order around noon, and by 1:30 PM, I received a notification that my order was ready for pick-up. Since Crate & Barrel is a bit of a drive for me, we headed there around 6 PM. Thirty minutes before arrival, I followed the instructions in the email and notified them that we were on our way. Upon arrival, we parked in the designated customer pick-up area, checked in, and within five minutes, a staff member brought my items directly to the car.

I was really impressed with how smooth and efficient the process was! The only downside? I didn’t have a reason to go inside and browse. Fortunately, my husband waited in the car, which gave me the perfect excuse to pop in and look around anyway!

Overall, the pick-up experience was fast, convenient, and hassle-free—definitely a great alternative to shipping for time-sensitive purchases.

My purchase tonight was:
12 champagne glasses
12 white wine glasses
12 red wine glasses
4 more butter knives
white serving tray.
(Nothing was broken when I got home, or so far I don't hear any glasses rattling).

My fiance and I were looking
To go to a store to scan for our wedding registry. We decided to go to crate and barrel and I’m so glad we did. Allison met us at the store with all smiles. She was beyond helpful. She went above and beyond to make this process seamless. She answered every question, gave us a tour, and recommendations. I can’t say enough good things about her & the other employees there. We went to other retailers and quickly came back here because the experience was that much better. I will always recommend this store moving forward.

I went to the store looking to find new glasses to gift to my parents and I met the store associate, Ariel, who guided me to the right path and was an exceptional help. She recommended me the best quality glasses. She was patient, kind, and resourceful. Her customer service was phenomenal and will definitely come back after my first time there!

Great options for custom building your own sofa or sectional. The staff was very helpful and not pushy at all. The pricing is a little bit above average but for a custom look I think that price is worth it along with the quality of the furniture itself.

I just left Crate and Barrel and I am completely disgusted by your customer service. I received a Henckles knife set as one of my bridal shower gifts. After a couple of months, one of the knives broke into my husbands food. I called C&B customer service to inform them and attempt to replace the broken knife. I spoke to someone who spoke to someone at the store and I was instructed to go into the store and they will give me a whole new set. When I went to the store, the "manager" refused to take the set back and gave me different instructions. She was argumentative, rude and unprofessional. The rest of the employees stood there and stared at me as if I did something wrong like I did it intentionally. The manager informed me that she had to order them because they were not in stock, which I totally don't believe. As she ordered them, she muttered under her breath and shook her head at me. I had to return other items but I was too embarrassed and upset so I left the store. That will be the last time I will be shopping at Crate and Barrel.
