Spent a few minutes logging into my co-op reward membership to get the special offer on the Coke Zero, to find out at the till the offer had expired 13 full days ago! Very misleading pricing / POS.

To be fair to the lady I spoke to, she looked at the item and looked as if she was about to honor the previous offer price - but I had already begrudgingly checked out. She then said she would remove the out of date pricing.

With the prices they charge I’d expect the staff to be more cheerful. Thankfully it’s not the only grocery store in Ambleside these days so recommend going around the corner.

Dealt with a pretty nasty staff member who seemed as if she was trying to make things harder than it had to be. Wanted to buy paracetamol & was told I couldn’t have two packs, even though i’d bought that much before I didn’t fight it & said okay, she then accused me of having a fake ID… for PARACETAMOL😂

The rest of the staff were very nice and the shop was well stocked, but will be using the Tesco Express from now on as this is my second bad experience with this woman.

Good range, and compliments other stores in town. Friendly, helpful staff. A useful pickup location. Shopping at the co-op also supports local good causes if you choose to get a co-op loyalty card.

Love being at the receiving end of great customer service...and tonight, I received the very best! I went in looking for last minute mince pies, and the young man advised me they had run out. He showed me to the festive counter, and advised I may find more in the end isle.
Whilst I was looking in the end isle, he showed up...and said he was just checking that I had found the right place!! Wow! Who does that anymore!
I was then at checkout and fell short of 50p - which he waived and said he would make it up...
I'm a huge believer in acts of kindness, and this was not only amazing, but extremely heart-warming on Christmas eve...
It turns out this very impressive chap was the manager - I'm thrilled; I hope his amazing work ethics rub off on all the staff! Thank you for a very memorable shop : ) I hope everyone bumps into him for the same wonderful experience!

The manageress at this store is a horrible, rude, obnoxious bully who belittles her staff, she's intimidating to staff who are clearly new and learning the job, maybe thats why staff turnover is so high. I was embarrassed to see the way she spoke to staff and I walked out leaving a full basket. Disgusting

I wish to amend this review as I got the supermarkets confused. It was the Tesco I went to not the Co-op! And that shop was fine; and I'm sure the Co-op is, too! Had my visitor's townie head on. Sorry.
