Have bought some necessary items like wine and an umbrella. I've read these above reviews and have to say the store clerk who is there now has been nothing but friendly to me. Can't speak on other products, but the wine I've bought honestly isn't really overpriced. And yeah it was pouring rain at like 7am on my way to work one day so thank god they had umbrellas

This is a liquor store with some aspects of convenient store. As you would expect, since this is inside a residential building, things are way overpriced. The staff isn't particularly friendly(or rude). They are just there to take your card or cash once you are done with your shopping. This is open pretty late, so a "good" place for a snack after a night of drinking. 😂

This place is very good. The staff are very nice, and there is a wide selection of foods and alcohol. They also carry some produce and milk. There are video slot machines there too.

I visited the convenience store yesterday to try to redeem my Belly card for a free coffee as advertised. I did this once before a few years ago. I had clicked on it on my Internet. However, the foreign man behind the counter said his Belly card machine was out of order. This is many times I arrived at a Belly card destination, perhaps for more than the first time, perhaps sometime later, and found I was disappointed that I could not get my "freebie."

Went to St. JOSEPH HOSPITAL on 6/9/16 to pick-up my sister's with MS medicine. I had to mail it to her in OHIO. I noticed that the convenience store had a USPS symbol in the window. I thought it might save time and not have an extra stop. (on CTA) I went in and asked (him) "is it too late for this to be mailed out"? He replied we have a pick-ups 3× a day. So I purchased a 6×9 manilla envelope & paid for the postage $3.00. I asked him when should it arrive? 1- 3 days, he replied. He gave me a receipt from the register and stamped it with a Postal Seal. I said there's no information to check-in for delivery information on my sister's meds. He replied to get a tracking number for this would be $5.00 I will never use anything other than the POST OFFICE to send something so important. My sister will be out of meds on 6/15/16. I will have to go back to the Dr on that day, and send it overnight. I should have waited until I saw the man place postage on the envelope, and place it in the white baskets behind the counter. Now the USPS, says it can't be traced because of this receipt. I feel like a fool, I should have paid the extra money. But in my defense this is not the only time I have sent her meds, while she visited with other family.

Terrible quality and expired food. They overprice every product and purposely buy expired food from vendors at a discount to save even more money. Brilliant scheme at the expense of the customers. Don’t believe me, just check some of the dates(if you can find them since some are purposely removed or covered up by price stickers).

Workers are so pleasant and wonderful. Don’t buy any ice cream. Almost always melted and re-frozen.

yikes! above average price, below average product. only go here if the Go Grocer one block north is already closed - it is by far superior.
