Nice visitor center on the side of the road. We stopped and looked about for a while; talked to the ladies at the visitor center. There is a marker detailing the dinosaur footprints discovered at a nearby lake.

It's a small town the people are friendly as you visit. The town is dying though. Great weed stores!

Pretty sure they closed the roads to get some business on Texas spring break. Dry roads and scraping asphalt on the shoulder

Stop by and learn some fascinating history. From Black Jack to the bullet holes in the Hotel Uklund, history is around every corner and the locals are very nice. Sad to see it’s almost a ghost town, many of the business downtown are boarded up and look abandoned. Lots of potential, hope it thrives again someday.

Governor restrictions is about to ruin every business and person in this town! At 6 pm could not find one good place to eat here except the mexican food truck which was delicious. We drove out to Clayton Lake 15 miles from Clayton and the signs there say NM residents only allowed past this sign. 🤭Our OK friends say they were asked to leave Ute Park Lake in Logan, NM because only NM residents are allowed at this time.
