Not the greatest area but for where it’s at, it’s well maintained. Shops are still open but not a ton or foot traffic. Smaller than arrowhead but similar mall feel. Not as many food court options as other malls. I wish the air conditioner was a little cooler!

This is the home of the very first super Walmart in America it's still a fantastic store looks brand new I shop there every single day of the week , it's one block from my house , the people are extremely nice and friendly and helpful it's a wonderful thing to have so close to

Several stores in one place is pretty convenient, especially if you're looking for something specific. Nice little food court never hurts 🙂 There are some very interesting characters that always seem to hang out but, lock your car, watch your 6 and Mall Security is good at watching out.

This shopping mall has changed remarkably since I remembered it.
The stores are on an indoor central hall, and some have outside entrances. The parking lot is large and shared. It is well lighted.

I was born here, and I remember when Christown had a Woolworth inside it. Tells you just how old I am, right? Christown had really become just old and grimy, and there were a lot of grimy people hanging around. To be honest, you didn't really feel safe getting out of your car. That's all changed. It's now where I like to take my 80 year old mother clothes shopping. She's really hard to find clothes for that are both age appropriate and small enough to fit her. They now have so many great stores to shop at, and I feel safe taking my mom there. Besides Walmart and Target. There's Ross, Burlington, Ulta, Famous Footwear, and many others. I love that they basically have all the places that I like shopping at all in one spot. There's always people around, and in case you did have a problem, there's always a police officer close by. There's usually one posted outside Walmart and Target. I've never had issues with homeless people bugging me for money. While I empathize with the situation, they're in having been homeless before myself it gets to be really annoying having someone ask for money every time you turn around. That hasn't been an issue for me shopping there. It's right next to the light rail and busses. If you haven't been to Christown in a while, go check it out.

They have done alot of renovations to make this mall, newer and clean cut
The harkins is not inside the mall though, rather it is behind on the South side of the plaza

The christown mall in Phoenix was a very clean place and well organized. It was easy to find the stores I was looking for as they had maps at all the entrances as well as certain other places inside the mall. I really enjoyed the smell of the different burger places they had near the entrances as well as the integrated entrance to Walmart which didn’t require me to go outside to enter Walmart.

Oldest mall in AZ and surprisingly in good shape still. The stuff outside the mall is better than the inside. Would be better if the costco restaurant was still in the food court. But considering all the other malls getting destroyed this one is still kicking.
