I rarely post about businesses. However, my daughter was offered a job at Chical Haystack in Bosque Farms. She went in to fill out all the paper work and needed assistance from me, her mom (due to a learning disability). The manager found out she has a hard time reading and recinded the job offer on the spot. It was escalated to the main manager in charge and they too agreed with the manager to withdraw the job offer. I spoke with amber on the phone who was very unprofessional and rude and hung up on me when I asked her for her last name. Amber also told me that she was the “highest point of contact” and there was no one else I could speak with. This place discriminated against someone who has always supported and shopped at this store. My daughter had literally spent thousands of her own hard earned money on supplies for her horses. We always try and support local businesses. It’s hard to believe that this place openly discriminates for disabilities. I’m very disappointed in this establishment and will never support this place again. I will be pursuing this further and hope no one else has to experience this! Please take your business to Old Mill where they are much more professional and kind!

I shopped here regularly for years. Four years ago I bought some jeans and they didn't fit,so I took them to exchange them. I was told that I couldn't exchange them because they "smelled like cigarette smoke". At the time I accepted that because I was talking care of my father who smoked. Fast forward to present. The first time I have gone back and bought jeans. Again they did not fit, so I went to exchange them. Once again I was told that they smelled like smoke. The interesting thing is that they were never exposed to cigarette smoke. I quit smoking three years ago. I have had three other non smokers check them and the only thing they smell is the stinky plastic sack from the store. Needless to say I am stuck with $100 worth of jeans that I can't wear. I will no longer shop, not recommend them to anyone.

Wouldn't even give one star if I could. The old manager lady is extremely rude. I could hear her belittle her staff and it made me never want to return. I guess new owners want someone who is rude towards everyone running their business. Great way to run your business into the ground. To top it off, everything is extremely overpriced and not worth it. Could find better apparel and supplies at walmart or on amazon. I highly recommend not patronizing their business.

I went in to make an exchange since the gift I bought for my dad didn't fit him. The manager informed me that the item needed to have its original tags, even though I had the receipt with the item description. I asked if there were any notices about this policy at eye level, but there were none. Then she told me it says so on the receipt... but who actually reads the receipt? We shop at this store to buy gifts for our parents, working hard for our money, only to be denied an exchange because of the missing original tag. The manager mentioned they just had a meeting about this, but I'm pretty sure half of your customers aren't aware of this policy. It's disappointing that despite the high prices, the store doesn't treat customers well.

Buyer beware . If you buy anything from here, make sure you don't lose your receipt. They asked for your cell number. You give it to them and then they lose it and will not go with your credit card statement either. I will not be going back

I was looking at a pair of shoes in the store, the right one fit so I bought them got in my truck put them on. Noticed the left was a little tight so I took them off and went back to the store 20 mins later to exchange them and the old lady with the skunk hair wouldn’t accept my trade in because the shoes had black on the bottom from my floor board. Then she was very rude when I asked why she wouldn’t accept them. Will never go back. Most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen

Honestly I am struggling to give 4 stars but I do believe it just barely pulls that off. I have gone to this place my whole life for a variety of reasons. I feel like they are very high priced for their apparel and anything like that as well as their saddles and tack. However they have always had a really good cigarette prices, there are two other cigarette places nearby that are comparable. Chicals stays in first or second place consistently for cost. Their hay/alfalfa is always good quality but considering the times and the economy it is overpriced as well. It used to be one of the best places to get hay out of convenience. It likely still is if you live nearby and are not going to buy a severe amount of bulk.
Overall if you want cigarettes or hay you're not doing too bad by going here especially if it's convenient. If you want apparel or saddles and tack you might be much better off being patient and purchasing online. Good luck in your travels! 🍀😉🙂💜
