Employee accused me of stealing gas.

Tonight at around 745pm, I pulled in to get gas. As I was putting my card in to pay, the employee comes out and asked me if I had pumped gas. I said no and that I was about to because I had just arrived. She told me I was lying and that I had to come in and pay because I had pumped someone else’s gas they had prepaid for. I showed her the pump said $0.00 and offered to show her my gas meter because I was below E. She said she didn’t need to see it because her system is always right and she knows I took the gas. She eventually told me to take it up with the other customer and just walked away. I showed the other customer my proof that I didn’t steal his gas and he said he believed me. The other customer ended up having to repay for his gas over again. I offered to split it but he declined. So the employee accused me of stealing and made the other customer pay twice for his gas. I’ve been coming here for years, but after this I’ll never be back.

While their prices are cheap, their employees leave a lot to be desired. I frequent this gas stop when I visit friends and while I’ve had pleasant experiences in the past. The last few years the employees either have just been rude, terse with me, or flat out aggressive anytime I’ve had issues with pumps or their card reader isn’t working. While it maybe cheap, it needs a major employee attitude adjustment and fast. I’ve had friends say that they have been threatened by staff saying they will call the cops on them for just asking questions or notifying them that one of their pumps is not working. That is ridiculous and uncalled for.

I tried explaining an issue with the pump to an employee and was treated rudely. My husband walked out out of frustration and she threatened to call the cops on him if he ever came in again. I was handed a receipt with an incorrect card number on it ( I tried explaining I had not paid) and told to leave. I was just trying to make sure I paid for my gas. We have never had an issue with the employees before and we've been going here for 12 years. Now I feel very unwelcome.

Their gas pumps are a hassle to get to on most days, since this store is on the corner. It receives a lot of thru traffic due to the location. Cashiers are usually nice enough. I've never had a bad experience there.

The absolute best gas station to stop at in the area❤️we always stop on our way to and from the casinos because their fuel is always cheaper than the rest and their bathrooms are clean.
