Cardenas market have fresh food. Fresh fruit, have a kitchen with the cook food and have fresh meat almost have everything you need for eating at home. Have a lot of masala and dairy. Really best customer service and will coming.

If you're looking for Latin grocery items, this is a great option. Nice, clean, and organized. There are quite a few items to browse through. The bakery had some very nice-looking handcrafted desserts. I also noted that the prices are reasonable. Regular and self checkout. It was a pleasant first visit for me.

Came here to buy a small FRESH Rosca at a great price just now. I've started shopping at Cardenas more often lately after noticing better prices on some items compared to other grocery stores.

And please, RELAX PEOPLE with your comments!!!! You're not always going to find every single employee happy and welcoming. It's the Bay Area! People can be tired or stressed at times. We all can get tired, stressed or frustrated at times. Just come, get what you need and get out! You don't like it? Take your business elsewhere. Why do people have to leave a bad review or every little bad experience they encounter. Sheesh.

Very much growing on me! Loving the freshest fruits and vegetables sections.. the freshest meats! Not to long of a wait time in the lines, very fast lines. And the customer service is wonderful. Clean store, easy to find things as well! Also very good prices for me personally.

On 3/20/22 I went to Cardenas (20812 Hesperian Blvd, Hayward CA) to buy turkey breast ham. I asked the Deli Clerk lady for one pound of turkey breast ham. She said that they don’t have turkey breast ham. The turkey breast ham was just in front of me(inside of the deli refrigerator) I pointed to the ham and I told her that the turkey breast ham was there and she said that she couldn’t sell me the ham because she cleaned the food slicer. I asked what time does the store close and she answer “at 10:00 pm.” I looked at my watch and was 8:50 pm. I went to the front cashier and I requested to talk to the manager. The manager Leticia walked with us to the Deli department and asked the Deli clerk lady why she couldn’t sell us ham and she said: “because I cleaned the food slicer.” The manager said, “she cleaned the food slicer and we can’t sell you the turkey breast ham.” We asked if that is normal to not sell to customers the product even though they have the product? She answered, “yes, that is normal,” We told her that we will file a complaint. Leticia (the manager) laughing answered, “I don’t care, do whatever you want, this is not the first time that a customer files a complaint with my supervisor” she left us there and went to the corner to talk to the Deli Clerk lady and they were laughing. Is very disappointed to have to face unprofessional people who can’t handle a simple situation. Apparently, Leticia is used to customers filing complaints about her unprofessional and disrespectful customer service. I would like to see Cardenas Market Policy which says that products can’t be sold to customers during business hours.

The pastries are cheap .99 each and are really good.

Jarritos were 2 for $3 for 1.5l

But the employees were not helpful, they only helped Hispanic people.

I wanted to order the chicken family meal the guys working in the deli were flat out ignoring me.

I tried to place a DoorDash order and they wouldn’t confirm so I had to cancel it

Girls in the bakery were just gossiping and the manager at self checkout followed me around the store.

Don’t think I’ll come back to this store wasn’t very welcoming

The restaurant inside this market is the worst mexican food I've ever eaten. The pork taste like cardboard box. The chicken is so hard like chewing on a rubber. The food looks so old and tasted funky. My 7 years old daughter almost vomit after she tried the chicken taco.
