We really enjoy going here. It's easy to get to, and the rangers are very helpful. They also have a great selection of souvenirs at the rangers station. You must go to it before going to the top of the volcano. The ranger's station also has clean restrooms. The view at the top and on the way up and down is breathtaking with places along the way to pull over and take pictures. They even have a trail around the rim of the volcano and into the bottom of it.

Great! Quick little park not too far off of 87. It added about an hour to our trip to stop unload the camper and drive to the top.

Beautiful views worth the time and effort!

They have a visitor center at the bottom with bathrooms and small bathrooms at the top as well.

Cool place to have a picnic and relax before getting back on the road.

Enjoy!

Very nice and well-maintained visitor center with restrooms and a great selection of keepsakes (magnets, postcards, clothing and more). The national park employees and gift shop employees were also instructive on the Volcano trail.

We travel and have been to many National Parks...but many more to visit and revisit.

Stop during our Saturday cross country travels.. Beautiful park and store..Definitely a place to stop and visit all year long.

But, what really impressed us was the 5, no 10-Star Ranger and Staff on duty that day (12/27/24). The most informative, helpful team we've experienced.. They went above and beyond to find this old veteran all the best deals and passes.

Huge thanks...you will be remembered

Just so cool! I mean you’re hiking a VOLCANO. It’s steeper than you think! It’s a great work out and amazing views on the Rim trail.

Great friendly staff at the welcome center and awesome educational movie in the little theater.

There’s 100+ volcanoes right there, all those mounds and peaks are more volcanoes and you can see the old lava flow and the other small volcanoes from the top.

Very fun!

One of the best volcanic parks in the US! The only one that I know of that you can drive to the top and hike around the rim of the crater. Excellent visitor center with very friendly staff who always answer questions with a smile.

It was closed this time, but we went once before. You can either hike or drive up the volcano. But I learned don't drive up if you are scared of heights (I'm terrifie. My son had to switch with me. The road is very narrow and no wall, so one wrong move and you are going over. Other than that, we loved it.
