I have had the pleasure of working with Paul at the Toms River location for the past 6 months. We started to build a deck back in May, only to experience problems with 2 contractors before finally getting it done by yet a 3rd contractor in late October! Throughout this long painful ordeal, Paul was always there to help solve problems, offer advise and always fulfill needs that each contractor asked for. In fact, the entire team of the Toms River store were all helpful and understanding throughout our long journey, most notably the Counter Manager who was aware of our situation and was most professional in offering help as needed. I would highly recommend that anyone looking to do a home project make the Toms River store their first- and only stop.

Was looking for some window sill stock and they had it on hand, along with a host of other trim and lumber. While I was there I was also pleased to see their selection of hardware, tools as well as kitchen and window showroom. There staff, Dave in particular, was very helpful.

Very disappointed with builders general and Mike Karlin. He recommended we purchase the incorrect window size that doubled the cost of our window but was completely wrong for our needs. This is after we gave him the measurements and style of window.
Buyer beware this is a big scam place avoid builders general.

- Your response on 5-29-21 is a fraud because I called John the manager John and was supposedly out for a few days and either himself or the assistant manager was going to call me, this was a week ago. The management at builders general in Toms River is a disgrace.

Im a contractor in Lanoka Harbor, I’ve used other suppliers in the past, when it comes to lumber, trim and other materials for projects I use Builders General. Although prices may be a little more they offer free delivery which makes up for difference. Always work on pricing to get best quote. Fast delivery
