Worst experience at a store in a long time. Bought $120 outfit for Christmas for my daughter in November. She goes to school out of state and I was not able to give her the gift until New Years…she did not like it. Tried to return without a receipt (I knew I would only get the current price on the return). I was told the items were 30 percent off but then when I walked around the store I saw they were still being sold at full price. No sale sign, no markdown on tag. I left vowing to find the receipt rather than basically have them just take my money. When I finally found the receipt I was told it was “expired” by the management. They offered to let me exchange my $120 worth of merchandise for $59 worth of merchandise, citing company policy. Further, about three years back I bought a winter coat there. While in the store, a group of thieves came in, loaded up their arms with coats, and ran out the door. My husband and I were wildly yelling to the manager and told him to call the police. He replied it was not worth it because they wouldn’t get caught anyway. So basically we let thieves get away with it and let honest paying customers get screwed. I will NEVER shop there again. Their policies are bullshit and their flippant attitudes are maddening.

Been going to both this brave and the Point one my whole life. Now I only go to the point one. Paul, the older gentleman who is a manager I assume… has NEVER once been polite or helpful. Every encounter I’ve ever had with him has been negative or seemed like a major inconvenience to him. Which mind you, I’ve spent an absurd amount of money here over the years and have ALWAYS been a respectful customer. This guy just brings a horrendous attitude to anywhere he goes in the store. If you’re thinking about shopping here, go to the point one instead.

Update - Still haven't gotten a resolution from the manufacturer. Avoid this store!!! I will never shop here again. May as well taken $160 and just threw it out the window of a moving vehicle.
Bought a $160 ski jacket for my son which ripped along the seam after one wear. Returned to the store with the jacket and receipt 8 days after purchase and was told I would have to reach out to the company and ship the jacket back to them. Have yet to receive a response from the company, but I will not be shopping here again. I can't support a business that does not stand behind the products they sell, especially when it is one week after purchase.

Brave New World is hands down one of the best shops around! I’ve been going here since I was a kid, and it never disappoints. Their sales are always amazing, and the selection is top-tier. Can’t wait to swing by again soon—this place is the best for all your surf and skate needs...and great clothes for all seasons!

I understand there is a staff shortage but the store is a disaster. There is a leaking ceiling with NO wet floor sign. They have a bucket to catch the leak but again they have no sign and its very easy to run into or trip over the bucket. You get wet while shopping. The store is not size inclusive. There is no excuse to not carry Multiple L and XL items when the Point Pleasant shop has some. There jeans and shorts don't go past a size 11 which is awful. The one worker I did see who did register this time and last time was amazing and such a sweet girl but I don't know if I want to go back with no dressing rooms open and it being so hard to return something there. Its very disheartening finding something you love but you are unsure if you can buy it because it won't fit and you can't even try it on.

Brutal. Such a struggle to spend $$$ here. Product is of course quality, the arrogance and smug attitude of the male employees is gross. Millions of surfers out there dude, you’re not that cool Bruh.

Not the greatest selection for boards for one, and the older guy Paul who works here is very dismissive and arrogant.
