Absolutely the best service I've ever experienced at a Gun shop, I recently purchased a firearm from Jeff , here at BPW, he was very knowledgeable and understanding and what has made me go back is his politeness and his outgoing personality, very friendly group of guys here, very funny and I will continue to shop here as this is my new home here permanently, Thank you to everyone at Birmingham Pistol Wholesale.

This is a pretty good place, nice people, only downside is if you are buying a gun and they have to get it out of their warehouse (thats right behind the building) they will charge you a $45 FFL transfer fee… pretty scummy if you ask me.

Amazing selection, tremendous display of guns at all price ranges. My personal opinion is that if you can’t find something you want in here then you probably need a different hobby. Very satisfied with my purchases. Prices are fair, plan on spending more time if you want to see everything. It’s really overwhelming when you walk in.

If you're brown skinned, you might as well get your mind ready for the 1930's.
Not all of them are like that but for the most part this is serious, and I review plenty of places on the REAL experiences alone, never being biased, and plenty of people in Alabama take my word. I stood next to the sigs, and some of the accessories, and didn't get a hello for almost 33 minutes. I always stopwatch it to see how long it takes, just like people do restaurants, it's not about just the guns, it's the overall experience ? It could be someone I love, and I bring them in and that happens, forget my words because everyone else is gonna hear truth about what that persons experience was...$MH

This is my first time ever calling this place I called today to see if they had a Taurus curve 380. When the guy first answered the phone I couldn't hear him so I said is this Birmingham pistol and then there was a long silence and then yes sir blandly, then I asked him about the gun and once again in a monotone voice no sir. Now I understand that you guys are cool and have to make up for your inadequacies but in my opinion if you're going to do retail whether you retail guns or anything else then you should really have someone on the phone who is approachable and kind nice and actually wants to help out people to find the weapons that they want because that's a potential sale for you

I have been shopping in this store for years ... No, I don't own a lot of guns. Two small calibers for self-defense, one 0.30-30 pump action Marlin, and a Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun (the last one belonged to my granddad).

Anyway, I went into the shop this weekend looking for a holster for a small caliber pistol (a Walther ppk/s). They didn't have one in stock ... but they custom-made one to fit outside my belt, and I LOVE it.

It's a very small shop, and it's always crowded. But the people who run and operate the shop can help. If you are looking for something and don't see it, ask. You might be surprised.

Visited this place for the first time yesterday. Greeted as soon as I walked in by a few of their employees and was blown away by their vast amount of guns and ammo, It's like an Aladdin's cave of armoury!! I was buying a cheap .22lr pistol just for funzies and was treated no different than people looking at glocks and other higher priced product. The process was fast and easy and very friendly. Other comments complained that this place was racist, however there were black folks in here that were being taken care of no different from me, and the guy that sold me my gun was black and not only was he nice, he stated he loved working there. Only drawback was perhaps they were a little swamped with inventory and had to dig out what I was looking for, and it's obviously a popular destination for shooting enthusiasts so does get crazy busy, especially for such a small store with a huge collection of guns. Prices were great, wish I had checked here before buying some of my other firearms I could of saved a bunch of money on a few of them! All in all a pleasant experience! Update 6.15.24... they now charge $45 upcharge if you are buying from their website - previously was $20. They should post this somewhere. I now have my product shipped to Larry's in huntsville it's $20 ffl fee even after shipping is worth it.
