I travel from Texas to Colorado round trip frequently and the BW Kokopelli Lodge is where I break up my trip. Its a great value for the quality and the breakfast is amazing and has a lot of options with some regional touches. The staff from the front desk to the breakfast staff are always friendly and helpful. They also have a great dog park if traveling with pets. Love this place and will keep staying there!

Overnight stay heading home. I was a little concerned having passed through Clayton never really noticing places to stay. This lodge was quite the surprise. Even though the rooms have outside balconies I felt quite safe on a main street.

Easy to find. Breakfast was good. Staff attentive and friendly. The rooms clean and modern. There is carpet in the floor but it's clean. Big screen modern TV to fall asleep by. Worth your money.

Very pleasantly surprised! You never know what to expect with an older roadside hotel. This place was not only, the only hotel around but it was clean, beds comfortable and a hot shower with great water pressure. The room smelled good/clean and the sheets were soft and clean. They accept dogs with a good grass area equipped poop bags. The breakfast was good with real eggs and potatoes. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place and I would stay again! I gave 4 stars simply because it is an older hotel.

We stopped here for a late dinner ( Pizza Hut ) and a quick shower and sleep. No complaints from us. It is a very clean place and fairly good updates for the age of it. Room was well appointed and had all needed aminities. And it was very clean. Free parking, WiFi, breakfast. There’s a Loves right across from the motel. Convenient. We will definitely be back next time driving from Texas to Colorado.

It may be a small town and a humble setting, but they have done well in their renovations and upkeep. It is very well kept. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. I feel it is important to note that the rooms are more than just basic amenities, they have decorated them thematically and created a cozy environment. Small but intentional details make all the difference! I noted that even the closet had a door rather than your typical hotel open closet.
We were able to park the semi truck with no problem. They have a large open parking space at the south end of the building. There is also ample green space for walking the dog and picnicking if it’s the right time of year.
Breakfast was a fantastic spread and the ladies are friendly and keep that breakfast room spotless. We appreciated the quantity and diversity of options. A definite repeat should we ever be in Clayton again. Thank you!

Housekeeping started rolling their cart up and down the sidewalks, servicing rooms at 6:30am and they knocked on our door even though we had the “do not disturb” sign out. So if you’re an early bird, this could be a nice place for you. It’s comfortable, clean and affordable too, but if you want to sleep past 6:30am, I don’t recommend. Even with ear plugs in, I could hear a lot of noise.

This is my new favorite BW location! The breakfast was incredibly good and the green chili made it next level.

It seems to be a bit older location but it's really well maintained. The bed was really comfortable and it was super clean.

Probably a 3+, just not a 4. We have stayed here several times over the years, always satisfied. It could us a little updating. Rooms are a little larger than some motels. |No elevator so request ground floor if stairs are an issue. |Lighting could be better. Bathroom lights good. Parking V good. Breakfast was OK. 120v outlets were OK for me. Good location.|I'd stay again.
