Don't you have a day where you wake up in the morning, and, you just have to have a donut? A donut with a nice cup of coffee, of course. In fact . . . as I think about it . . . and for this morning, just maybe . . 2 plain cake, and, a chocolate, cream filled e'clair - doesn't that sound tantilizing - would be just what the doctor ordered, certainly for me. And, at a mere cost of $5.50¢. How bout that!
However . . where would be the place to go
in San Jose? Ah yes! My favorite spot . . 'Christy's Donuts,' at 1150 N Capital Ave, San Jose, CA., 95132. It's essentially on the corner of Berryesse, and, Capitol. Home of the Berryesse Plaza, no less.
And . . . the light rail, as a matter of convenience, will take me right to it.
Why is this my favorite donut shop?
Because of the many qualities it has to offer.
And, there will be a nice husband & wife team,
that will whole-heartly greet you, I guarantee, that elicit such pleasant, and good- natured feelings.
There you are for a good start. Come to think of it, this little donut shop is really more like a mini restaurant . . except the emphasis is on pastries, rather than a speghett & meatball dinner. The mini pastry restaurant - as I shall call it, is located at the end, and around the corner, of the Plaza strip. There is little traffic if any, So it's very much secluded. A kind of 'Oasis in the Desert,' if you will.
Second, it has a wide spectrum of options
to choose from. If you're in for a breakfast, you'll
find appropriate selections, such as 'ham & eggs for about $5.99.
Inside, it's so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
But, here's the best part. It affords you not only a place to sit down . . but, to sit down in style.
Sit if you will, in the cozy cushioned seats right
next to, what you might call . . 'The Window of Donuts.' Or, as I usually do, since I've always liked a high perch, go a couple steps up to the next level, and, enjoy your tasty meal over the rich, dark tables that have that Oakwood look, that over-look, that dark, majestic, Balastrade railing.
The place is just - in my opinion - very
architectually, nicely laid out.
You can just kick back, and enjoy a very
peaceful experience. There is no music, but, in this case . . I like that . . . it's 'the sound of silence,' and, it just lets you focus on how you want to plan your day.
So, don't miss out! This place is just
great! It has all the amenities. And, it's open from an early 4 am. Yes! 4 am. - how many coffee places are open that, early.
And stays open to a respectable 4 pm.

I did not!!! like at all the driving, very stressful, should be a warning signs of the difficulty of the road.
If accident there is no signal.
Two stupid, desperate drivers were behind me, tailgating me and very dangerous, pushing me to have an accident.
You can die up there, and nobody would know.
It was a BMW and red Tesla.
When they had an opportunity, they ?vertake me into the most rudless way.

Such a grande sight. This is home. We have gifts all around us. Thank you, Mother Nature. Thank you, neighbors, for upkeep.

Not a great parking lot my few times being there. Small, tight spots unless you park further away. But not a long walk since it's small! DD's Discounts has better merch than the one I recall in LA. Family Dollar had good deals, though employees seemed unhappy at times. I DO want to try the Pho restaurant there at some point, as well as a tea place and a "hot dog" grill. I stopped here for the McD's at first, during a commute but am exploring this plaza as I have time and am in the area.

Good for quick stop at McDonalds, dollar store or DDs. They also have an auto store that has come in handy. Nothing great to speak of. Sad that the Indian spice store is gone as well as rose garden Chinese food.

This complex need to be renovate. Need to have a new look. Us the same for so many year . Time to make changes dont get stock in the pass. I miss Rose Garden restaurant. Unfortunately chance the owner and is not the same.

I like taking my daughter here once in a while for Saturday or weekdays.dd Discount to buy here toys. Then Mountain Mike's pizza. A perfect day for family.

This shopping center itself is very “run down”. However, Supercuts and Mountain Mike’s have very good service and people working there. But as for the shopping center, it could use some work and more cleanliness.
