Absolutely love this store! The two ladies that run it are very helpful, they make custom hats. I purchased a custom hat from them and am 100% satisfied. I asked for a One-Handed crown, and it's exactly what I got. Quality takes time, so don't expect it the next day, but I'll tell you the wait was very worth it! Mine took about 7 weeks to complete. I will be having my next one made by them as well.

The manager was pleasant and direct in helping me find just the right hat. She patiently went through six hats with before I found my favorite. Her wealth of hat knowledge (40 yrs) was invaluable to me. She was just as helpful helping my wife pick out a favorite. Please discount any hateful reviews, it’s just a generational thing. If you need an excellent hat- drover, cowboy, Kentucky Derby, party or whatever, you owe it to yourself to come here first. We will.

I inherited my fathers cowboy hat that he wore as long as I can remember, probably purchased sometime in the late 60's or early 70's. The hat was really old and faded and just kind of beat up, plus didn't fit my head which is bigger. I was really worried about where to send this to be restored because of how sentimental it was to me, and plus, who would do the quality job I was looking for. I decided to go with Az-Tex Hat company even though they have so so reviews, but saw some before and after pictures of some hats they restored and decided they looked like they did quality work so I sent it in for them to do.

I will tell you it took a while and communication wasn't they best, but the quality of work just BLEW my mind. I received the hat today and was so blown away that I decided to leave a review instantly recommending this place for hat restorations, amazing job and even did what I didn't think they could do. Because the hat was faded and actually couldn't be dyed because of the type of felt used, they literally flipped the hat inside out and re-formed it's shape. It literally looks brand new.

Anyway, for restoration I highly recommend them, amazing work. Here are some before and after photos, don't even do it justice really 😉

We were spending a month in Scottsdale. Had been looking around for a nice western hat. Didn’t really find what I was looking for. Did some searching on the web and ran across the Az Tex Hat Company. Stopped in on a Friday afternoon. I was told that it would be 6-8 weeks before my hat would be done. The owner then asked how long it would be before we were returning home. I told her we were only going to be here for 8 more days, and would really appreciate it if I could get it before we left for home. She understood and said she would do what she could to make it happen with the understanding no guarantee. I told her that would be great! Not really expecting it to happen in that short of time. To my surprise I received a text the following Wednesday that my hat was ready to pick up!!! Went down the following day and picked it up. It looked great and fit perfectly. Can’t express enough the fantastic customer service of the Az Tex Hat Company!!! Thanks so much for making it happen!!! If you’re looking for a great hand crafted hat this is the only place to shop!!! Thanks again!!!

Brought my straw hat in to get it straightened back out. Five minutes and it looked better than when it was new. I’ll definitely recommend to my friends.
