Beautiful location. However not the best boards to ride your bicycle on. Many nails on the boardwalk on a much-needed repair that has been neglected for many many years. Also be careful when just walking overall as you can trip and fall easily if you don't watch where you're walking. Parking is private and many locations especially during the summer months.

08/2014 This boardwalk feels worse than Rockaway after the storm.
No, it hasent. From what I see, no work has been done on that boardwalk. And almost all the buildings, if not all, has this 50's 60's old beach feel. If you want to understand were I'm coming from watch Dirty Dancing. Yeah, that some what describe it. The boardwalk needs to be worked on. And bikers can forget about that bike lane. No, one I ran across respects it.

Short and sweet! It could use better bike lane markings down the middle, railing repair and a some maintenance to nail down a few loose boards.

Not coming here again.. paid over 20 bucks in tolls ON WINTER! ... No parking anywhere... Went out for 10 minutes..came back a guy was waiting for me to leave the car and giving me a ticket. 50 dollars fine for not having a parking permit. A 70 dollars day out with my girlfriend I had not planned.

Boardwalk is 1 mile long. It is really in need of repair but still nice. There is a bike lane but I don't know if I would want to ride my bike there because of the potential for a flat tire.

Pretty beach but only officially accessible to residents. Most of the parking along the beach front was not available to the public and many buildings block the view to the beach making it even more exclusive. We came off season on a warm November day. It was unclear if we were explicitly not allowed on the beach even though it was out of the summer season and also whether we were allowed on the boardwalk that goes along the west end of the beach. We went on the boardwalk anyway and no one said anything different. We managed to park in some unmarked bays and again it was unclear if we were allowed to actually park there. Not very friendly for tourists
