Steve was great to work with. Steve and his staff were efficient, clean and workmanship was superior. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a gas fireplace insert. You will not go wrong with them.

Terrible service. Installed a fireplace that was nothing that we asked for. Became argumentative, nasty and hung up on me when I said I wanted it out and that we were going with another company. Put down the other company that we said we were going to go with. (who we were going to go with first, but stumbled upon Alpine and wanted to support local small business) Went to the house and ripped out the fireplace he put in, left a gaping hole in the side of my new build. I DO NOT recommend using this company. The customer is always right and the lack of disrespect speaks volumes.

*Update Again-The writer of this post, Luke Staloff, is actually the son of the owner of Alpine Fireplace, Steve Staloff. I am unsure if the original poster was actually his son, Luke or Steve posting under his name. Unbelievable.

UPDATE TO OWNER’S REPLY-
His information is conflicting. In a text he told me he was out one amount and now publicly he states to be out a more inflated amount. In my original text I asked him to replace it with what we wanted and he continued to argue with me, ultimately hanging up on me. The only reason we contacted another company was bc Steve did not give us what we wanted and thought we were ordering and then left us with a gaping hole in the side of the house. The main objective here is that this owner is very argumentative. It’s his way or no way. I have never been berated or called names by a business owner in all my life. I stand by my original review.

Steve did a great job installing our fireplace. I had a lot of questions and he was always available to answer them. We converted an unusable old wood fireplace to a new gas fireplace. He helped us pick the right gas insert, and helped design and frame the new surround (including the framing for a recessed television). You can tell he takes pride in doing nice work! We had to install new electric and a new gas line which took longer than expected. Steve had the material in his shop and was ready to go once we let him know. The insert and a new chimney liner was installed in one day. Fireplace looks great and ready for winter!
