The room was great. It was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was great and the coffee was some of the best I've ever had at a hotel. Service was friendly, but pretty slow. We enjoyed our stay.

Really wish I read the reviews on the pets before booking. We were double charged as well. They said it would drop off in 3-5 days but PCSing overseas and being charged twice is really frustrating.

If you have pets go off post — it’s cheaper too. I recommend the Roadinn just outside the gate ($15 per pet — per night) the staffing there is also super sweet.

The rooms at Candlewood suites are nice however, you have to wait about 30 minutes for hot water to kick on. Breakfast is also delicious but i recommend the lodging for families without pets.

This is my first time at this Candlewood Suites Hotel. Surrounded by lots of beautiful mountains ⛰️ and cactus ? trees. It's Arizona. I didn't expect any less. The hotel is is nice, clean and fresh when you first walk in. The young lady at the counter was pleasant. The rooms are a very nice size for a double queen. Rooms were clean, nice size closet and bathroom. They have a gym and a nice size eating area. Breakfast was decent. Really good coffee! ☕️ I'm really impressed.

Absolutely a great hotel, regardless of any "on-post" caveat. I would genuinely be happy with the quality of this hotel if I were out on vacation. The rooms are clean, bright, and well-appointed with comfortable furniture and well-maintained fixtures. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Even breakfast in the lobby is, again, far above your typical hotel fare.

Military lodging- Pretty basic but gets the job done. Staff is friendly and energetic! Breakfast is free but it’s the same stuff each day so after 10 days I got tired of frozen omelettes and pancakes. The Wednesdays socials are cool. Soup/Salad, hot dogs, etc.

Let me start by saying if you want five stars from me it better be the Taj Mahal. Beyond that this is a really nice hotel. They catered to the service people and their families. It's super clean, it's well kept, breakfast is typical for a hotel. The great attraction to this hotel is the price. The inconvenience is you must be cleared to go on a military base. Which for me is relatively easy, but I'm not sure it is for everybody. If you're going to be in the area certainly check into staying at this hotel it's well worth it.

The staff are great and the rooms are clean. However every time I've been here with a pet, I've been double-charged or overcharged on pet fees. Each time I was told it would come off a few days later, and it never did. In the midst of TDY or PCS it's extremely frustrating to deal with their managers and the banks trying to recify charges. I was almost just double charged for a pet fee once again and caught it in time for them to change the amount. I strongly encourage anyone who stays here to double check their charges and get the pet fee on a separate receipt, especially with the joint travel regulation updates. Further, they apparently don't honor the Arizona tax laws on hotel stays over 30 days. I bought a charger for 25 USD that broke the next day and even couldn't get a refund for that.

I used to make sure all my soldiers going TDY have bookings at this hotel to prevent vehicle theft or other issues, but now highly recommend staying off-post to prevent GTC issues. The hotel is great but not worth the headache if there's any issues that need management.
