I usually don’t leave a negative review…. the beginning of our service at the cafe was stellar, our salad comes out quickly and was great! I saw several people with burgers that were cooked to perfection.. but after we ordered we kept being told our food would be out soon…. 45 minutes later and a new server later and our food finally came out. Our fries tasted like they’d been under a heat lamp for 45 minutes, the hamburger was way over cooked. Green beans were somehow dry and way over seasoned. Salisbury steak was way over cooked and extremely dry, I ordered gravy that didn’t come out with my meal. When I finally got the attention of the waitress, she brought what looked like a lump of warm bacon grease and chunks bacon fat that was somehow sweet… Don’t waste your money or time!

We actually love this place- stayed here 6 years ago and glad to be back. The family history of Jacob Lake Inn is amazing if you take the time to read the story and look at the memorabilia in the main building. We stayed in a cabin again this time- had been updated and was very comfortable. Would suggest somewhere to place toiletries in the shower as others have mentioned. Enjoyed our meals in the dining room also- servers were very nice and the food was as good as last time. We had stayed at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon the night before (not in one of their cabins) and our room there was not nearly as nice and more expensive than our cabin at Jacob Lake.|We did not mind not having ammenities such as a coffee maker or fridge. It was just pleasant to have a comfortable, cozy place to stay. Hoping this place will be there next time we are out that way.

My husband and I stayed 2 night in the hotel section of Jacob Lake in order to visit the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. It is a great location and beautiful setting, nestled in pine trees. They even have a nature trail. You can rent a cabin or room, with rates that are very reasonable. Close to the Park but far from the maddening crowds! The food in the restaurant is EXCELLENT, a diverse choice, and cooked as you wish it to be. Service is also sterling, from check-in to food to the nicely stocked and arranged gift store personnel. Everyone was sincerely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend it, and if we make another trip to the Canyon, we'll stay here for sure!

Whatever you do, DO NOT stay in a cabin. We booked a cabin for two nights and they didn't tell us that the one we got has shared walls with another cabin and the walls were paper thin. We could hear the other people whispering, not to mention they had a dog that barked at everything. It was also kind of gross on the inside. Luckily, they had a room available and we were able to switch, otherwise it would have been a complete nightmare. Highly recommend staying somewhere else. I felt like it was expensive for what they were offering and they could get away with it because there isn't a lot of options nearby.

The staff was really friendly, that's the best they have going for them.

For the restaurant, they would overcook breakfast, but the sausage was good. For dinner, I recommend the Chicken Pot Pie. If you need a bite, it is fine here but I don't recommend staying here, especially in a cabin.

I’m on a cross country motorcycle trip, so I’ve stayed in plenty of “rustic” and “lodge” type motels in small town USA. This place is the best of the bunch. The restaurant is actually open, and the food is very solid. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms (we stayed in the “hotel” room) were clean and comfortable. A proper hotel/motel in small town USA that’s clean and comfortable is hard to come by. This place is great. If you’re considering staying here to check out the Grand Canyon, just book it!

My wife and I stayed here one night recently as a launching point for seeing the North Rim. It seems that the property has evolved over time with cabins, a motel and now a hotel component - we stayed in the hotel. The accommodations were suitable and clean, but pretty basic and rustic in nature (no fridge or mwaves). The front desk and other staff were very friendly, helpful and outgoing. There were areas outside the room to sit and enjoy the scenery but ours had brush overgrown and so we couldn't really appreciate that feature. The Inn has a Cafe, convenience store and gift shop. The food we enjoyed was tasty but we felt a little pricey - breakfast was like $45. In terms of the location and accommodations and such this property is probably a pretty good option, but if you are used to traditional chains like Hilton or Marriott this will not be up to those standards. We would most likely stay here again if on a short visit to the North Rim. My official rating is 3.5 stars but not feasible and I cannot get to 4, so rating a 3.

Stayed here for 1 night to visit the Grand Canyon and the hotel itself was really nice. The room were small cabins which were nicely designed, I really loved it. The only problem I had with the room was, that it was FREEZING cold at night. Had to put on my hoodie and still was freezing. Wish it would’ve been isolated a bit more. Otherwise good location and nice hotel.

We finally stopped to stay a few days. You see we've visited while going to or coming from somewhere else for years. This time, We stayed. | We had a very pleasant 2 day stay. (Rm 209) The rustic charm & the feeling of stepping back in time was wonderful. The staff was genuinely friendly and although the service for dining was slow, we reminded ourselves to relax & enjoy our time vacationing. The hotel was obviously older but the room was clean & updated. Although they could use a coffee machine, mini fridge and/or a microwave. We we're able to get coffee & breakfast at the store. And ice was available for our ice chest. We visited the North Rim and enjoyed the scenery & the wildlife coming & going. We also went to Lee's ferry, very hot 104°, but the water was cold, so it averaged out... haha, We basically had a very nice time. And we will go back again. Thx for letting us come enjoy time with you there.
