My wife and I were a little over a week into a two month camping adventure, and decided to look at an 5th wheel that I liked, but she wasn’t sure of, before heading to Bear Country USA. Upon arriving, we were met at our truck by salesman Jeff. He promptly showed us the rig we came to see, as well as a slightly larger rig of a different brand.

We were instantly hooked. It was late afternoon on a Friday. The real decision came down to sales manager/service coordinator Cole’s ability to install a 5th wheel hitch, prepare the 5th wheel, install a washer/dryer combo unit, arrange financing with a superior interest rate, allow us to stay onsite to transfer all our gear, and get it all done by close of business Monday. I can hardly believe he was able to make it happen.

Special thanks to Cory, who installed the 5th wheel rails, completed the preparation and walkthrough, and installed the washer/dryer. His workmanship and knowledge is outstanding. Thank you to Kevin, who installed the 5th wheel hitch and provided guidance to safely connect/disconnect and tow. Additionally, the guy in the supply department whose name escapes me, ordered all parts and made parts runs to make everything come together without delay. And lastly, the woman who cleaned our rig so we could move right it.

Every person on staff was polite and made us feel confident of our purchase and welcome. What a great workplace to be a part of.

Dec 2024, Excellent, excellent excellent in every way! Such a very good buying experience! Bought a used motorhome from them that we saw they had listed on FB marketplace. Called from Nebraska and talked to Trevor, in sales, who was very knowledgeable and very polite, answered all my questions. Drove up and looked at it and it was everything they said it was and more.

After the sale they made sure we had everything we needed. They GAVE us a full tank of gas, a full propane tank, a new water pressure regulator, new sewer hose kit, t shirts, pens, coffee cups, tank chemical, pack of bath tissue, and a new water hose!!!! Who does that when you buy a used coach from them?

I tell you, if you want the best buying experience and the best price and the best parts and service available, you go straight to Dakota RV by exit 55 on the north side of Rapid City, SD ..
I cannot give any higher a recommendation to anyone else.

The sales representative hurried the conversation & didn't even discuss any inventory with us. Seemed to be in a hurry to get back inside. He didn't ask us any questions to determine if they had inventory we might be interested in.

Best kept secret west river. This is one of the best RV dealerships in the country and a lot of people agree. I've been to many of them in 3 years and have experienced good and bad all over the country. Dakota RV sold me a solid motor-home. Things don't always go perfect but they work hard to make things right and operate their business in good faith, that's all anyone can ask for. I always prefer small business that uses discretion and I can get on the phone anytime of day. Cole will go above and beyond for you, Kevin is a funny guy with decades of experience and very knowledgeable, Jeff will answer your texts late at night.

Sometimes they take some time to get repairs and paperwork done, they have a lot of customers and the demand is high. I've pulled in and seen their parking lot packed with trailers and motorhomes to the entrance. You can trust these guys to take care of you if you're worried about making a big purchase. I had a great experience working with this dealership. While traveling on a multi-week trip we had a part of the toilet foot lever assembly break. I called in to check about a replacement part & Adia took my call. By the time we arrived in person a bit later she had already researched the assembly for our toilet brand and was aware of what they did & did not have in stock for repair of ours. We were able to buy a repair kit at a reasonable price here. What really made our experience here stellar was her extra effort to research & help to know what she could do to help in our time of need. If I ever have a chance to recommend this place to others I certainly will.

Today, my partner and I had the pleasure of stopping into Dakota RV during our trek to a job in Deadwood. Our main reason for visiting was to take a closer look at the Ekko Sprinter, a vehicle we have been eyeing for some time. Unfortunately, these vehicles are scarce in our hometown of Kansas City, so we were thrilled to have the opportunity to see one up close at Dakota RV.

Upon our arrival, we were greeted by Scott, who went above and beyond to assist us. Not only did he show us the Ekko Sprinter, but he also introduced us to a Black Series Travel Trailer and a Revel, all of which have off-road capabilities - a must-have feature for us. Scott's knowledge and enthusiasm for the industry were evident throughout our interaction, and his kindness and willingness to help us make an informed decision were truly appreciated.

If we ultimately decide to purchase the Ekko Sprinter, we have no doubt that we will be making the trip back to Dakota RV. The staff here is awesome. We bought a camper from them, and it was the easiest purchase we have ever made. Everyone who works there is great. They take time to answer your questions and help however they can. There were a couple of warranty items that needed repair, and they took care of it and made our camper perfect!

I called them when our generator went out on our trip west. They got me in right away. JJ was awesome, he gave us some suggestions of places to check out while they looked at our motorhome. Dakota RV Saved Our Family Vacation!

Our long-planned family summer vacation was nearly derailed before it truly began. We were hitching up to leave the Mt. Rushmore KOA when our electric tongue jack completely failed. We were able to get hitched, but we knew we wouldn't be able to unhitch for the rest of our trip, which included stops at Bighorn National Forest, Yellowstone, and the Grand Tetons.

In a panic, we called Dakota RV and spoke with Mike. He was calm, professional, and told us to come right over. The entire team was incredible. They understood our situation and immediately got to work. In less than an hour, they had us set up with a new, working tongue jack and ready to hit the road.

We can't express how grateful we are. What could have been a trip-ending disaster was just a minor bump in the road thanks to their fast, efficient, and friendly service. If you are ever in a jam in the Black Hills area, this is the place to go. They truly saved our vacation!

Purchased a Cherokee Wolf Pup 17SC early June. Slide out broke one month later. Took my camper in for service, found it outside with the slide ripped apart and wide open to water intrusion for two weeks. Picked up two weeks later and it was dropped without my support blocks, meaning I couldn’t get under it. Found the outside speaker had not been replaced, found the jack bent from it being dropped on a slight grade with no wheel chocks and found several items still in the camper that had not been fixed. Found a small dent on the front left. Felt like they sold me a camper and then on the service side didn’t value my purchase nor my time. That’s my experience with Dakota Discount RV.
