In this day and age you don't expect a store clerk to go the extra mile... especially in a smokeshop. This was not a usual experience. I want to recognize AC. I was looking at sunglasses and noticed they didn't have a mirror. I went over to a security mirror up in the corner but that was no good. AC said, "here ya go" and he pulled the mirrored door off of the display counter and held it up for me to use. Totally unexpected and way more than he had to do. He was also very friendly. Thanks again AC!

The night time crew are quick to judge you on your appearance. Not always on time opening and early closing all the time, dont respect their own hours of operation. Late to open, early to close is not a good business platform. I have nothing against the clerks they always treat me with respect.

Only frequent this store occasionally because it's not near my home but does carry a product I buy that I have only seen at a couple of other stores and they are double in cost. The clerk is always friendly to me and prompt and I have never witnessed the nonsense that others have reviewed and suspect that they either think that Scotsdale extends it borders to 19th Ave or are persons that complain about every retail establishment they go into and are not consistent customers anyways and are biased after only one visit so their opinion really doesn't count for much anyways. As for persons in the parking lot panhandling or otherwise a polite no or I'm sorry usually is understood and any donations are appreciated. I suspect that these uncharitable beings go other places besides the intersection of 19th/camelback and they should know the score. It's a tough world out there and if you have nothing else to bring to the table then a smile and common courtesy will usually get you the same in return.

Was physically assaulted at Eddies. I was punched several times in the face and head by a drunken and/or drug influenced transient who had been hanging around INSIDE the store in full view of management, bothering the customers for at least ten minutes with the management doing nothing.

The man was rapping and jumping around about two feet from my face while I was trying to get my items and make my purchase.

When I told the man off and told him to leave me the &!*%! alone, the manger took offense AT ME and told me to leave the store.

The transient followed me outside the store and punched me in the head and face and attempted to grab me. I was able to get away and call police. The transient was arrested.

The management and employees of Eddies did NOTHING to assist or intervene and made no efforts prior to the attack to get the man to leave the premises.

This was not the first time I have encountered transients and/or drug-addled people inside the store or directly in front of the store hassling people in one way or another.

This is not the end of this matter.

DO NOT GO HERE, especially at night if you dont want to be harassed and/or in fear for your life. Not only that, they say they buy gold which they do, the prices they offer in exchange is outright disrespectful. The parking lot is always trashed, full of transients, ppl begging for money, and others bumming cigarettes. The staff is just as bad as the ppl they have hanging out around there. I've witnessed on at least 2 separate occasions physical altercations one of which the staff was right in the middle of. They are rude and think everyone is stealing no matter who you are. Dont go here if you can avoid it.

I love Eddie and Rusty...they are my life savers when it comes to cashing my check! They even walk me out if i cash it later at night so i get to my truck safe! They try their hardest to keep the loitering down as much as the can but hey they are on a busy corner....I love this place!

I don't know what happened to customer service at this Eddy's Quick Stop (19th Ave and Camelback), but someone did NOT teach these guys any skills. This one morning I just got off of work and upon approaching the store the clerk was yelling out the door to a previous customer and tell him to get off the property.
I had a broken finger and counted my change before entering the store. I was going to buy me two 16 ounce can of beers. There was 3 people ahead of me, the clerk was getting irritated at this guy who was paying for his items with change. So the clerk says "come on man, there is a line of customers behind you, why don't you use those dollar bills in your wallet". The customer didn't have that much change to count and didn't take long at all. The clerk was very rude to that customer, I guess the clerk thought that getting irritated and raising his voice at the customer was going to get the customer to move faster. Then it was my turn up, let me remind you I have a broken finger at that time and all my change counted out. So I put my 2 can of beers on the counter, whip out my change, put it out on the counter. The clerk says your short a dime and that my change was all dirty (I thought isn't all change dirty? Then thought maybe he means the change has germs?). I ignored the "dirty change" remark and told him I have the other dime in my pocket . I guess it took me to long to get the dime (2 seconds) because when I pulled the dime out of my pocket he already charged me for 1 can of beer and told me he was NOT going to sell me the other can of beer and handed me $0.90 cents (even when I was handing him the other dime). I told him "you have got to be kidding" !!! The clerk told me I'm holding up the line, I looked behind me and there was no one there, (that was SPOOKY!!). The only customers there were by the freezer and another customer walking away from the freezers. I figured Looney Tunes had a bad day that day because he didn't eat his Wheaties, you know water under the bridge. So, I went in there today to get some cigarettes and a bus pass hoping that Loony Tunes was NOT in there. Well Loony Tunes was there but another clerk served me. Loony Tunes recognized me and was just watching the transaction. Let me tell you what, one customer was in the store not even behind me yet. I must have asked more than one question to many about the cigarettes for the cashier to handle, he says "oh my God" looks around the store real fast, then looks to the left, then the right, left and right again. The clerk then says "your making me lose my customers"!! I was there for a total of 15 seconds. Like the bad customer service that is in that place, I guess I wasn't a customer at all to that clerk (HELLO!!) I just walked out. I don't know what is going on in that place but those two clerks act like they are "one taco shy of a combination plate"!!!!!!! Some clerks are good and some are just real BAD!! BAD!!! BAD!!!! BAD!!!!! BAD!!!!! I know two clerks at that store that seem always happy and at least has a smile. I like going into that store when they are working!!! Makes me want to go back to that store for my cigs or etc... I know I'm not the only one with bad experiences with Eddy's Quick Stop!!! It is unfortunate that some of the clerks make it very uncomfortable to be in the store, sometimes they have some good deals and is a very convenient store to go to. I'm going to stay away all together. I'd rather pay a tad higher price for something that I need at another convenient store with good customer service and at least cracks a smile.

They are really good about keeping the trouble makers off property and have everything a quick stop should including some sodas and other drinks you can't get at your local chain store! The low stars are just from those who steal and/or just "hang out" without buying anything and bug paying customers or fight.
