Beware! Not sure if this is the same business owner or not as the Nest, but today I went inside the side door and shopped. I found some items I wanted to purchase but when it came to paying, I realized the woman was attempting to store my credit card information, cvv # and even asked for my zip code. I was very uncomfortable providing that and asked what payment platform she’s using. She responded “Square” and I knew something was off. I’ve NEVER had a merchant ask for personal information, especially my cvv number and zip. She said she didn’t have a card reader (unprofessional) so I think she was trying to store my card info, which is probably definitely illegal. I let her know I was uncomfortable giving her all this information she shouldn’t need for me to make a purchase, and she just shrugged and took the items away. The fact that she didn’t seem to care about making the $60 sale was odd. She didn’t ask me if I had cash or offer to hold them for me. It just seemed like all she cared about was my card information, so I followed my gut feeling and left without making the purchase. Even if there was no bad intention, storing customer’s card info without their permission opens them up to a lot of risk if they were to get their account hacked or something. They should be more cautious and understanding. Everything about that place, including the fact that they are listed as closed online, is super sketchy. If you want to shop there bring cash.

We purchased a beautiful dresser for my mother at the Nest, a home goods vintage store in Yucaipa. The 2 ladies working were so hospitable, sincere and very helpful. They treated us like good friends or family. What a wonderful experience. I would recommend the Nest if you are looking for beautiful home goods and want to have a great experience.
