Price gouging is out of control. There is a clear signal that if you aren’t an old white woman: stay out.

They also have trouble with basic procurement. There have been several times where the milk I was about to grab would expire the next day, but also times when they’d run out of milk for days on end.

Watch the best-by-dates due to low turnover.

Huge shout out to Mollie at the bakery!!!😁. This cake is seasonal and I wanted it for my wedding so Mollie took down my information to see if it was possible. Unfortunately someone mistakenly threw away her notes with my info so she couldn't call me to let me know they would do it. I came back the day of my wedding because I needed a gluten free slice for someone. Mollie was there and recognized me as she was coming and said she had made the cake in the office chance I came by. That's A grade customer service and my coconut vanilla cake was delicious 😋. I also recommend the carrot cake!🙌🏼.

Ordered a gift basket on-line, to be sent to the hospital.The web site stated that there would be a service charge for Fed-Ex delivery. I received a call from the Draeger's Menlo Park site rather than the Los Altos site (the site I was on when I ordered the product) and was told "it was going to be hand delivered the next day, could I please clarify the address". Today I received a call from an Uber drive who did unfortunately did not speak English very well. He said he was having difficulty locating the address. Shortly after I received a text from Uber saying the delivery was cancelled.

I called Draeger's. First they said "we don't have anything to do with Uber, we don't use Uber. Then they said " You are calling the wrong store, we havent even done gift baskets in six years" (I placed the order from their web site, choosing the Los Altos location as it's closer to the hospital. Nothing stated there was no delivery from that location.) Then they found my order. Then they said "Uber delivered it, it's not our problem if they couldn't find the address, it's your problem." I asked why it wasn't shipped FexEX as per the shipping charges on the web site check out, but did not receive an answer. They did not offer to simply have the charges reversed on my credit card. THEY SAID THE PACKAGE WAS IN UBER'S HANDS AND IT WAS UP TO ME THAT IT WAS NOT DELIVERED, AND THEY WERE NOT GOING TO OFFER ME A REFUND!!!

It's really difficult to understand how this company has so many expensive gift baskets for sale on their web site and yet they could not even mange to get a gift basket to go a hospital right nearby. One would think they would want to have this type of business in their stable.

I do not recommend this company. As Monty Python says "Run Away".

Really wide selection, most complete selection of spirits and liquors of any grocery store in the peninsula - high quality produce and the essentials for most ethic cuisines - not to mention more luxurious ingredients from caviar to escargot and truffles. You definitely pay a bit more for the selection but at least it’s all in one place and has easy parking.

This grocery has one of the best selections of cheese and some wines I've seen in a while. The bakery is impressive as well with fresh baked pies such as strawberry rhubarb, fried chicken, salads, sandwiches, pizza, and even sushi/sashimi.

My grandson says the building looks like an old factory. But inside, it's a food delight. Also gorgeous flowers, bakery, food to go and groceries. Highly recommended

A trendy high end grocery, deli, bakery, etc. store that's been around for 60+ years. Lots of unique items from other countries. A must for a good hot meal, soup & salad or amazing cake. There are SO many options here. I definitely will be back.

Premium chocolates - even by standards. The bath and housewares section upstairs puts Crabtree and Evelyn and Williams Sonoma both to shame. The croissants and bakery items look absolutely luxuriously crafted and the salad bar is amazing.
