Do not recommend shopping at Flegels. TL:DR - they do not support their clients when there is a manufacturing defect.

In 2017 we purchased Kingsley Bate painted teak patio table along with chairs from Flegels for our outdoor patio. We kept the table covered when it wasn't being used. In 2019, the paint started to blister. In my attempt to get this rectified, Kingsley Bate told us that Flegels had to file a report on our behalf. Kingsley Bate's also informed us that they no longer recommend the painted teak for outdoor patios. I verified that this recommendation didn't exist when we purchased the table in 2017.

We went to Flegels, telling them that Kingsley Bate needed a report filed about the defect in order to resolve it. Flegels refused to write a report! They did offer to refinish the table for approx $700. And this table was only 2 yrs old and originally cost almost $2000. The owner's son, Brian, was rude and refused to listen to these facts:
1. When we bought the expensive teak furniture, the Flegel's sales person did not tell us to expect the paint would blister.
2. The 2017 catalog does not mention that painted teak tables were only to be used under covered patios.

The owner's son said that he had more valued customers who spend much more money than what we spend and he didn't want my business. I was dumbfounded with his statement. We spent over $5000 for patio table and chairs. But even if we had only spent $500, I would have expected respectful and responsive customer service.

Very happy with Flegels. They have a great showroom with beautiful and unique furniture and accessories. I was also impressed by the extremely knowledgeable and talented designers like Marci, who helped me with designs for our new house.
