Great shop that I've used several times for plastic fabrication. Most recently I used them to make a custom cover for my 65" TV. I sent them the dimensions and design with a hook on the top and it's perfect! All turned around in just a few days. Thanks so much!

I shop an deal with the San Francisco store all the time / I was in the eastbay heading back to Treasure Island so to save a trip into the city I stopped at / This Store in El Cerrito they are cheats and rip off people off they charged me for a full sheet equaling the total to $315.50 for a 48”x96” of 1/4 Lexan and made one cut and refused to give me the cut piece / The San Francisco store always includes one cut for free and then give you the cut piece as you have just paid for a full sheet / El Cerrito will never get my business again / Heed my advice and drive into the San Francisco Tap Plastics Store For Fair And Honest Business And Service / El Cerrito Tap Plastics Is A Dishonest, Disingenuous, And Deceitful Business

I recommend this place for any plastics needs. I’ve been coming here for years, and got excellent service again yesterday. I needed a panel to cover a broken window, and got expert advice about the proper thickness, correct adhesive to use, and good tips on installation. Then, the panel was cut and ready in about 5 minutes. I think they’ve been at this location for over 30 years; they must be doing something right!

Just had the most rude custumer service of my life from the young woman working here. She was dismissive, pushy, condescending and basically shoved me out the door before I could get any of my major questions out regarding the polycarbonate dual wall panels they sell. As an architecture/builder who is using the panels for a custom build I will steer folks away from this store. If their priority at TAP is making small transactions and pushing people out the door then mission accomplished!
I just had come from having my jaw drilled for a tooth implant a few hours earlier and that was a far more pleasant experience.

This happened around 3:50pm so no it was not closing time just utterly rude customer service devoid of decorum. Did not even get 5 minutes in the store before being pushed out the door. I will most certainly go elsewhere to find the products I need as I will be dealing with bulk orders for custom green houses etc.

Life is way to short to be disrespected! If you know exactly what you want and it's simple you would probably be fine here otherwise don't waste your time!

A great place to purchase laser-cutting material.
Knowledgeable and capable staff.

I run a small design/prototyping shop and I use these guys for all of my Acrylic and Delrin needs. I try to buy in "full-sheets" to get the best pricing, and then I ask them to cut it down to a more manageable size.

Staff is great about getting me precision cuts in a timely fashion. If I'm cutting a lot, and it will take more than 10 minutes, then I head next door to the cash-only doughnut shop to pack in a few calories.

Material is generally very flat, which is critical for laser-cutting and I imagine most other uses. Delrin warps if you look at it funny, so they must do a good job of keeping it all flat-packed before cutting.
