I had a strange interaction here a while back that left a bad impression. A friend who had worked here recommended I speak with the manager about potentially carrying my products. I came in hoping for a friendly conversation, but instead was met with a pretty dismissive attitude. When I introduced what I make, the manager responded with, “What’s so special about it?” and “Why couldn’t I just make it myself?” It felt unnecessarily defensive and condescending, and not something that I expect to come from a store that claims to be community oriented.

On top of that, the prices here are extremely expensive, and the produce isn’t very fresh. I’d much rather shop at Monterey Market or Berkeley Bowl — both offer better prices and consistently fresher products.

I love this place. I have been coming here since it opened and I stop by every time I am in town. The green smoothies are the best and so are their delicious soups. The food is all ready! I love sitting down here for a quick, healthy meal! Also the coffee is AMAZING!!!

I love the interior..plants and flowers, wood walls and bright windows.

The potential is crazy here. But the food tastes just ok, and is so expensive bcs it’s organic etc, I just wish it tasted better. It’s not hard to do!! I can cook better than most of the food I’ve had here! You do feel really good after eating some dishes since it’s clearly carefully sourced food👍👍

The coffee is NOT WORTH IT. How on earth have you such a beautiful, well thought out spot, well run, and have such mediocre pastries cakes and really bad coffee?🤔😑 None of us liked it.

Much better to have fewer things done well than a bunch done badly! Like the flan isn’t flan..it’s cold hard sweet eggs. Full stop. The lemon cheesecake is meh. The whipped cream is nice on top.

The soups get redundant if you come a lot, and are clearly bottom of the barrel cheap recipes. I mean, lentils? Really? Peasant food and not even good, but $5 for 1 measuring cup🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

This place would be a-mazing if they leveled up their flavors. Alas, it’s got a small stream of probably regulars and drop ins. And I still appreciate the setting. And the flower shop is happy-making!

My home away from home. I can think of no other restaurant anywhere in the world that serves everything only organic at a reasonable price. Hallelujah. It is also the only place to go and have an organic latte with cardamom syrup. If you haven’t tried it, do yourself a favor and check it out. Service can be slow, but it is almost always very friendly. You can also find at least one authentic Nepalese (Newari) dish. I would like to see more rotation of the soups and other dishes, as well as more international dishes. I also miss the sandwiches on toasted baguettes they used to make. And wood fired pizza. That pizza oven is going to waste. Wednesday evening live music is a very unique addition and they put great effort into choosing bands that are special. I wish the sugar cookies had a bit of almond, lemon, or vanilla flavor to make them more special. They have fresh juices, sweets, ice cream, alcohol, burritos, soups, breakfast, dinner, and the best salad bar anywhere.

This is my first time stopping by for a post-workout breakfast and i absolutely love the self-serve food!

Their breakfast bar selection is pretty minimal but the ingredients are far superior to any take-out restaurants or even Whole Food's hot bar.
My bowl consisted of 2 healthy scoops of scrambled eggs, black beans, and greens. It was a protein-packed breakfast that isn't overly salted and when paired with my nutritional shake, i took in 50 grams of protein!
I love the open concept dining hall and the fresh flowers were delightful.

Am I in Santa Cruz or Marin? LOVE the earthy / quality vibe at this restaurant cafe adjunct to the El Cerrito Natural Grocery store.

This beautiful space with very high ceilings and rustic modern vibe with incredible wood counters, lots of indoor and outdoor seating, every prepared breakfast pastry and healthy lunch meal option you could want - salad bar, sandwiches, deli, coffee along with a huge drink and snack selection.

Perfect alone, with friends or for meetings. Will be back often!

Do you love eating outrageously delicious and simple food? I’m usually afraid of buffets and salad bars - but! This! This is the place! Run don’t walk.

You can feast your eyes on flowers! Enchanting chocolates! Magical cards to give to people you love. Love them with food or flowers!

I’d say this is a love festival of love. 5 stars for all of the sweet people who run it and the great vibes within.💚
