This was our first time in the Hawthorne country store Fallbrook location. Jackie and the other employees went above and beyond to help get us set up with our first set of baby chicks. We will definitely be coming back for anything we need for our animals.

When you live in a farming community it's important to have a place for all your animals needs... Hawthorne provides this with quality feed and products at a fair price. Even more so having someone who is friendly, knowledgeable, and quick on their feet to greet you and assist with whatever you may need is equally important. The Hawthorn team is all of these things and more. Heather has built an assertive team who is equally helpful and knowledgeable. Luke, Bryan and Nico make a trip to Hawthorne feel like a walk in the park. If they don't have something you need Ed is quick to tell you when he can have it in. When in doubt ask for Luke , Ed, or Bryan and they will help you sort things out with the helpful assist of one of their team members.

Little back story & my opinion. Please don’t leave reviews off one person . If someone isn’t as outgoing as u and super social that doesn’t mean there not doing there job. If u have a complaint go to a manager before hurting a small business that community’s rely on for there animals needs. Without these stores our animals won’t have half of there daily needs met . And we would be back to supporting huge companies and using feeds that aren’t good enough for our animals .
Every store has good , bad or employees who are having bad days . Every store runs out of items and has to wait on suppliers to send them the product . So remember that before being hateful.
I started coming to Hawthorne years ago after spending decades with Tractor Supply and watching TS take my money but never provide a service . Employees arguing , cussing waiting up to a hour for feed to get retrieved for me out of the back storage room. So I started coming here . I’m always after higher quality feed and specialty feeds for my rescues .
I have many animals I rescued that were abused and neglected. I had to order online and wait for items always running out . My days would be searching for feed trying to find all there needs in one place . Often making multiple stops to get it all.
Now that I come to Hawthorne I get every item in one place.
We use waterfowl masuri, all flock , game bird, feather fixer, high octane, 3 way Cobb,
Dog foods, treats, freeze dried food , pig feed and many more feeds and special containers to feed and ferment .
If u compare prices some are higher but it’s worth it the time it saves and knowing ur not giving it all to corporations who are still charging the same prices knowing they have buying power to charge less.
Support as many locals as you can we have stores and local places to fit most of our needs .

I have nothing bad to say about Hawthorne .
They have provided our sanctuary with everything we need .
They deliver and do make a point to get what you need as fast as they can .
Remember they to have to order these items .
And not everyone is a social butterfly.
Be kind to people not everyone will tell u all about there day , family in your first trip to the store .
Far too many social people don’t understand many aren’t the same and have a hard time in public .
As long as they are providing you with a service that is all that matters .

Please again think about that before you leave review . Talk personally to a manager if it’s the manager go above them . But don’t hurt a store any store for that matter that the whole community uses . Thousands of breders, horse owners, rescues , sanctuaries use these stores . Without them the animals suffer .
Most things can be handled in person quietly and respectfully. I noticed how so many have to go online and bash others . Please we all need these small businesses that are rapidly leaving our towns .

Sorry rant was so long just couldn’t believe some of what I’ve seen towards small businesses that we love and desperately need in our communities.

I love this place! Best customer service in town. All employees have been so friendly and knowledgeable. We didn't know the first thing about chickens and after a few visits we now have hens in our backyard and fresh eggs!

This place is awesome and the staff is amazing. It changed my life when they moved to downtown Fallbrook. Highly recommend for all related needs dog food, hay, feed, supplies (rakes, muck buckets, carts, etc), new born chics, goats, etc
