For a store that refers to itself as an “apartment”, they are certainly lacking with hospitality. There were about 5 employees working, and maybe 6-8 guests in the store including myself when I visited. I wasn’t greeted by the person working the front counter despite no one else being in that area. No staff members asked if they could start a fitting room for me while I was shopping with multiple styles already in my hands. I ended up having to help myself to a dressing room, as no one was overseeing that area. Not surprisingly at this point, no one came to check on me or offer alternate sizes. I put everything back and left with my money.

I love this store I’ve always have bought online as I live in Australia, but was over for a trip.

The place makes me transported to Europe and the style which I’ve been to many times and love so much!

The quality of the clothes is just amazing!

The staff was friendly and helpful, they have a large selection of sweaters along the right wall when you walk in. It is a small store but you feel like you are shopping in Paris. I love the quality of their clothing.

Staff was extremely helpful. I brought in images of items that i wanted to try on (from the website). Two staff members helped me by quickly grabbing multiple sizes and a dressing room. Even snagged some restaurant reccos as I checked out. Oh and super cute clothes 🙂

I don't know if it's because I am young and was dressed a bit casually, but I genuinely have not experienced such indifference from any sales associate than I have at the Sézane on Elizabeth Street. I received no acknowledgement, let alone help, the entire time I was at the store. I basically had to beg to try on the top I was wearing and am lucky that it was the right size, because no one asked me if I needed a new size or any assistance. Honestly, I am mad that I even stayed and purchased an item from this store. I have shopped at Sézane before at their store in Marylebone, and had the exact opposite experience. The sales associates quite literally gave us brownies on the line. I couldn't even get eye contact. I am a New Yorker. I understand the base-line hostility that even I possess, but I genuinely felt inferior while shopping here. Anyway, I digress. Sézane, you lost a customer (not like you care), and it has nothing to do with the clothes.

Really mixed experience. The Asian woman working at the counter was extremely friendly and helpful. Wish I had gotten her name to shout her out. She helped me sort out a refund for an online purchase seamlessly and with great professionalism. Thank you.

On the other hand, two employees were moving a trolley with large brown boxes from the back of the store by the register to the front of the store. The footprint of this store is tiny. There was a small line for the register, with customers standing on it. Rather than simply asking us to kindly step to one side for safety, one of these employees rolled their eyes, and very loudly and passive aggressively retorted: “UGH. I can’t move these boxes because these people are in the way.” ‘These people’ are your customers, who spend money with this brand, so that you can have a job. Extremely puzzling customer service. Put a very sour taste in my mouth.

Beautiful clothes but quality is going way, way downhill. I bought some shoes and they literally fell apart within two weeks. They were fortunately understanding about the shoes. I’ve also had several tops loose buttons within the first few wears of shirts. I do like the style of their clothes, but I proceed with much caution in purchasing things as the quality is variable. I don’t buy their sweaters, shirts, or shoes anymore.
