My husband and I came to visit friends in Hudson. We loved the Amelia! Great location, beautiful home, very comfortable room (#5). Just a question bed (comfy!) and a fabulous bathroom — double sinks, walk in shower. There was a kitchen for guests with a Nespresso coffeemaker, hot chocolate and snacks. Breakfast was hard boiled eggs, English muffins and bagels. You also had the run of the house including two living rooms (one with gas fireplace), a library and a dining room. It was very clean and well run. Staff was lovely and accommodating. We so enjoyed it!

A great getaway from the city with a winter view of lavender, grasses, and a gate leading to a forested bank. Sleep in a quiet old Queen Ann house transformed into a small boutique hotel with large rooms and bathrooms filled with light. The service is extraordinary. It's hard to imagine how The Amelia won't become a favorite place of yours to stay.

An absolutely lovely stay here!!! Well located and the house is beautiful. Rooms are plain but clean and our bathroom was fabulous! (We were in room 5.) Service was wonderful. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Absolutely lovely experience at The Amelia! The inn is wonderfully cared for, beautifully decorated, and fabulous amenities - like the breakfast! The staff was very accommodating and helpful! It's in the perfect walking distance from Hudson's Warren Street and everywhere you'd like to travel throughout the Hudson Valley. I would definitely stay here again!

Had a lovely vacation stay at the Amelia. As a world traveler, I’m very familiar with good service and accommodations, and this was it. It was a beautiful hotel with delicious baked goods, fun amenities, and a caring staff. Would recommend and best believe we’ll be back!

The hotel come so close to a great 4 -5 star Bed and breakfast : however, it falls short on the breakfast part( bread wrapped in plastic wrap and no milk just doesn't cut it for me) no milk juice , and the little extra to make it worth the price point. The room is missing warm touches that are expected when you are paying over 700 for a suite like real cups and glasses, a bottle opener , extra towels. The decor is nice but sparse , there really is no "service " at the hotel , there is a small room off the back entrance that has some granola , apples, and a few seltzers. The beds were super comfortable , and lots of extra bedding if needed. Overall, it just lacked love and service , the grounds are beautiful, and its great just being a 2 minute walk to Warren Street. I would recommend it to friends but with the heads up that you are really on your own, buy some wine , in town and sit by the fire pit, with the smore's pack they leave out. The big plus is the outdoor heated pool, and all the little seating areas downstairs.

The rooms were nice. Could’ve used a few more electrical outlets. Carpet on the stairs would be good to keep the noise down. Location was perfect. We had expected more of a breakfast, but figured it out after the first day. It was a little hard to know who to contact when we had questions but other than that, our state was very pleasant.

The Amelia is a lovely, restored home in Hudson, NY. Just 2 blocks parallel to the busy, commercial street, Warren Str., that has all the restaurants, shops, etc. You can walk and walk -- really nice (no need to drive your car to Warren Str. and look for parking). Very easy to find, and parking was plentiful at the house. Our room was spacious along with a fully updated, contemporary bathroom. Water pressure was great, housekeeping staff was wonderful and helpful, our king-sized bed was restful. Little snacks in a kitchen area with fresh fruit, and come individually wrapped baked goods. The only drawback was the price. My husband and I felt the price far exceeded the experience. It was a 2-night minimum, perhaps because it's autumn, and Leaf Peepers season has begun; but there weren't leaves that had turned color yet. Still, I would highly recommend The Amelia Hudson, but perhaps at another time of the year when it's less expensive.
