Stopped by on the way to Santa Fe - such a lovely spot! Tried the fry bread (chili and cinnamon sugar), it’s made with simple ingredients but is so delicious! You have to eat it right away while it’s fluffy! It’s vegan as well. We were welcomed by the owners, mother and son, and they were just lovely to chat with.
They also have an art/gift shop in the same spot, beautiful locally made Native American pieces. I got a small pottery piece which I was told was made by the owner’s cousin. I appreciate being able to support local artists in Laguna and now I have a beautiful small vase to remember it by ❤️ Definitely a must stop on your drive if you’re passing by!

If I lived in this area, I’d drive here for the fry bread every day! The dough is fried fresh when you order and is perfectly crispy, airy, and not oily. You can either order a savory Indian-style taco (with beef, beans, lettuce, and cheese, though vegetarian option is available) or a sweet fry bread topped with either honey, cinnamon, or powdered sugar. The art is beautiful too and a great way to support the local community. Most of all, Dominic (who now runs his family’s business) must be one of the friendliest people I’ve ever met. He was so energetic and welcoming, and he told me some fascinating aspects about life on Laguna Pueblo.

Delicious Indian fry bread and Indian fry beef tacos! We searched and found this great spot. They also sell beautiful jewelry, blankets, art and more! Our 3 kids are loving the bread. Yum!

Best fry bread ever! We always get the indian tacos made with fry bread, but they’re delicious with honey too! This is a purposeful stop on our way through New Mexico. They are in Laguna West of Albuquerque. Stop in and say hi to Domenic or his Mama or sister. They are super nice. Get off on exit 114 and go through the traffic circle no more than 1 mile. Business is called Indian Arts Center.

Perfect stop on our way to San Diego, the fry bread tacos were delicious and my fiance loves her new bracelet. Dominic was awesome and so informative. Don't forget to ask about the church.

Driving along Route 40 near Laguna and have a hankering for a snack? You know, one of those snacks whose calories on vacations absolutely don't count? Well, New Mexico doesn't run on Dunkin and why give more money to Starbux? Obey the bright yellow signs and drop by the Indian Arts Center for a fry bread!

After taking a short detour off of 40, we came upon a humble structure. Indeed, treasures are often found in humble packages. For those who may not know, Indian fry bread is exactly what it sounds like: deep-fried dough, not unlike a donut or beignet but larger, which can be served with sweet or savory toppings.

There were three sweet options, all of which my family tried: fry-bread with powdered-sugar, cinnamon-sugar or honey ($5, cash only). You can also have it with chili powder ($5) or an Indian taco with meat, cheese, lettuce, beans and salsa ($10).

Have patience when giving your order to Grandma behind the window screen and about 15 minutes later, you'll be rewarded with piping hot, sweet and slightly salty doughy goodness. They were large, roughly 7" in diameter. My wife and I could have shared one, but I finished mine all in one sitting. She is not a glutton like myself and only ate half and picked at the rest during the rest of our road trip. Be careful, these are sticky and/or very powdery. Biting one in front of your AC vent will cause a small mess!

There's a shaded table with three patio chairs. I took off one star only because the shop was closed for repairs and we so wanted to take a look. (late June, 2024) There did not seem to be drinks available.

Do drop by for a sweet or savory snack for your journey! And make sure you have paper towels on hand! (Although, you do know that the amount of paper towels you need is proportional to the yummy-ness of the snack!)

Authentic and yummy! Enjoyed the indian fry bread taco as well as the powdered sugar indian fry bread. They provided a green salsa that added a little extra kick. Beautiful view of the nearby mountain range. The customer service was wonderful, and very friendly. Take exit 114 off 40 west.

Stopped to visit because of the signs along I-40 and glad I did! Met Uncle Ben and his nephew who run the place and had delicious Fry Bread and shared stories. What was supposed to be 5’ stop turned into almost an hour! Great shop with handmade jewelry/pottery and friendly staff! Will stop again next time I’m driving thru to visit my new friends
