Bandelier National Monument is a truly fascinating place to visit. The on-site museum offers a wealth of information about the native peoples who once lived in the area, giving insight into their daily lives and what their community was centered around. One of the highlights is the opportunity to climb into several of the ancient cliff dwellings—an experience that’s both memorable and perfect for photos. Even if the main lot is full, overflow parking is available, making access easy. The main loop trail is about a mile long and typically takes 30–45 minutes to complete, making it a great, manageable hike for most visitors. This loop in particular is a paved road so most of it is wheelchair accessible, aside from a few areas to get into the dwellings.

An amazing National Monument! Climbing ladders to get up to the Alcove House...very cool! The main trail from the visitors center, then going to the Alcove House took us 2 hours. Also had good birding along the way. We have an Motor Home and got there at 9am parking in the only RV spot.

Incredible monument to visit with family and friends. Some of the trails are paved so they can be accessible through wheelchair or other modes of ambulation. The visitor area is where you can check in (we bought our ticket online $25 for one car) has a gift shop, and a coffee shop.
The popular trail is Main Loop and the Alcove house trail has a 140 ft elevation through multiple staircases. So worth the view. Not if you are against of heights.

A nice NM with an easy hike to the various ruins, lithoglyphs / petroglyphs / pictographs. Loop Trail leads you on a walk along most of the sites including the 'long house'. It was easy enough for mobile folks and if you are not afraid of heights, the Alcove House only adds 0.5mi and gives you a nice view which is more separated from the crowds.
The museum at the visitors center is OK, and the film about the area helps fill in some of the history but I could not push to 5-stars. I found the natural formations which humans adapted to their use many centuries back left me with the biggest impression. Definitely worth the stop to check it off the list if you are into that kind of thing.

Go to this place! It’s not on the list of National Parks but it should be. Well marked trails, and a chance to climb into some of the Pueblo living quarters caves. So cool. Give yourself 2 hrs to see it all

We were able to get in even with parking congestion. We ended up parking at the overflow area near the visitor center. This was on a December Saturday afternoon between Christmas and New Year's holidays

We started off with the main trail or the main loop trail and then decided to go to the longhouse from there we went to the alcove house we enjoyed this hike. I highly recommend it is four flights of ladders plus a bunch of haphazard stairs. There are signs with warnings about not taking the trail with health risk I am asthmatic and sometimes we walking to the screw in my foot but was fine the biggest thing is to take your time also please note that the people coming down have the right away and there's not a lot of room to move on some of those stairs so it's best to let them pass so that you have the space to maneuver. Bring water with you. I heard several people complaining about wanting water. Expect lines near some of the more popular mane homes.

Please remember to pack out,, what you pack in. And be respectful of other people on the trail.

Wow!!!
Loved hiking the multiple options here. Most northernly significant remains of indigenous cultures I love to study and learn. If your lucky hike the Tsankawi Prehistoric Site with zero other hikers = pure magic.

Ladders and heights and physical activity fine for most but not all.

Cool place! I love how the grounds are laid out. It’s a very pretty area and the ruins are very interesting! The parking lot was very full when we visited, around 1pm on a Friday the weekend of the Balloon festival in Albuquerque. Nonetheless, no issues and had a nice visit.
