I just had the worst experience at a retail shopping experience. The person waiting on us was beyond rude. I like to shop local but will never darken these doors again.

As a local, I try to shop local first. I went by there today and the customer service was pretty bad. The person at the register asked me for my name, and I gave it to her with the correct pronunciation. She continued to Call me “Naomi”, despite being corrected. She then proceeded to disparage the items I brought in, loudly. I won’t be shopping here again.

First time visiting Re-threads. Being a consignment shop, clothing was obviously cleaned and in much better condition than many thrift or second hand stores. Downside – While being checked out, I used my debit card. The clerk in a monotone voice asked if I could pay in cash? Otherwise, there was a fee. I had to have her say it twice as that sounded strange. Re-Threads tacks an additional fee for using debit cards. Since most people use their debit cards, this was a shock whether 2 cents or 10 dollars. I checked afterwards and found that surcharges can be added on in New Mexico by businesses, but needed to be clearly displayed in a sign and communicated to customers before the transaction is added up, as in my case. There were no signs indicating this surcharge. The surcharge in New Mexico can’t be more than 5 percent. Legally, a store can never charge a surcharge rate on a debit card or a prepaid card transaction in the Visa or Mastercard system, only on credit cards. Having grown up and lived in tourist communities all my life, this was the first time encountering this type of sales technique. The clerk was not clear if this was a convenience fee or a processing fee, nor was it on the receipt. I understand that credit cards have processing fees, but it discourages future patronizing, at least for me. This should be more clearly conveyed to customers before they are at the register and the items have been added up.

I found a nice pair of ski pants for $15 and my brother found a camelbak pack. Unfortunately we got there later than intended so we only had a few minutes to shop, but they had a good selection of clothes and sports equipment. I would definitely go back again.

Great second-hand shop. Alot for neat items. You pay a bit more per item because they are all very nice and hand selected. Good selection of ski equipment too!

When I asked about stolen items possibly showing up in her store, the owner told me to email her with a list she could show to her staff. If, as she claims, she has records of everything she sells, and to whom a check was issued, the logical thing would be to have her check her records. She was very defensive and nasty.
