This was a great experience as all the dishes were delicious and well prepared, served up pretty quickly with a lot of flexibility. You must get the Mayan warrior hot chocolate with coffee in it (chili too). Eggs Benedict were great as was the skinny farmer, huevos rancheros and sourdough bread.

My wife, family, guests and I have enjoyed Farmhouse Cafe over the last 2 years. The food is fresh, with many ingredients procured from local farmers and ranchers. On our most recent trip we and our guest lunched on Butternut Squash soup and fresh baked dinner rolls, followed by entries of Lamb Sheppard's Pie, Curried Butternut Pie, and Breakfast Quiche of the Day, and Jamaica Tea (hibiscus with a touch of sweet spices of cloves, cinnamon and allspice). Dessert was Raspberry, Almond Shortbread. All the food was excellent. We have previously enjoyed their Beef Lasagna Picadillo Bison Empanadas, Bison Burger, Waldorf Chicken Salad and Chicken Enchiladas, all excellent. The background noise was muted allowing quiet dinnertime conversation without anyone having to raise their voices. When the weather is warm, there is outside dining with plenty of shade as well The staff was affable, courteous and gracious. The restrooms are clean. The restaurant is just out of town on heading north and well worth the trip.

I love the energy of this restaurant. The food tastes fresh and flavorful and the employees always have such good attitudes. I especially love when Anita is my server because she's super attentive and always makes me laugh! And the back of house/baker deserves a lot of credit. They work so hard to make amazing dishes and the baker wakes up early every day to bake all of the bread used in the restaurant and every pastry/cake on display. Plus the whole property is lovely and worth seeing. There's koi ponds, a beautiful gazebo, and artistic windmills in a feild surrounded by fruit trees. If you're in Taos, definitely check it out. ♡

Quick service and very nice employees! Solomon helped us out with everything, from explaining the fresh grown and raised ingredients to his opinion on tastiest food. I had the chicken pot pie with a side salad and it was a huge slice of a chicken pot pie. It was very yummy!

We enjoyed breakfast here recently, choosing the Zia Breakfast plate with egg, fresh vegetables and mushrooms. Yummy!
We appreciate that the restaurant uses organic products. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the wait staff was friendly.

Google Maps doesn’t allow reviewers to do more than one review on a place but allows editing. Taos is small so I often visit a restaurant multiple times over time. Today was such a day and I am happy to report that the Farmhouse Cafe & Bakery continues to excel.

The Service is Quite Good - The Food Even Better!
Coffee, both decaf and regular, is very good. I had some of each.

Not cheap but worth the $$$!

Hope the new photos post. Another really good breakfast- they’re open 7 days a week and lots of other places are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.

We loved having breakfast here. We spent 4 days in Taos and ate breakfast here twice. Everything was so delicious. I really loved their sourdough toast with the most amazing jam. I wish they sold their jam. The farmhouse breakfast was perfect. Eggs, bacon, and really good breakfast potatoes.

I recently had an incredible dining experience that I simply must share. First, I started with a chai that wasn't pre-sweetened, but it came with honey 🍯 so you could control the sweetness to your preference. This thoughtful touch was a great start.

Next, I enjoyed a Garden Benedict. The eggs were perfectly poached 🍳, and the hollandaise sauce was rich and flavorful. The dish was complemented by tender asparagus and soft, ripe avocado 🥑, making for a delightful combination of flavors and textures.

For dessert, I had a slice of chocolate zucchini cake 🍫. It was moist, decadent, and delicious – a perfect ending to a fantastic meal.The food was truly amazing, but the experience was enhanced by the super pleasant waitstaff 😊. Even when there was a bit of a wait, their charm and sweetness made it impossible to be upset. The surroundings added to the charm – it felt like visiting a grandma’s house in the countryside, complete with quirky, endearing backyard decorations that made you feel right at home 🏡.

This place is a hidden gem 💎, offering not just delicious food but a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to return again and again.
