After an interesting hike on a San Cristo mountain trail, daughter and I decide to reward ourselves (it was 10am so I didn't suggest a bar) with a morning beverage. Ok, I'll explain "interesting hike". She ran like a gazelle and I looked a panda on a rocky (photo following) path that was literally a 50% incline (daughter says I'm exaggerating 🙄). After I watch her lap me at least 2 times I head down the treacherous 50% incline. She springs ahead with her fleet feet. I arrive at the car gasping for breath hands on bended knees and red faced. She's jogging in place and asks me, "how about a refreshing libation?" YAY! We roll by this super cute tucked away libation establishment on out way and stop immediately. It's tiny and cozy and so boho! The menu is extensive for a small space and I'm impressed. It's also busy for a Sunday morning and that tells me it's a local favorite. Daughter orders a Macha tea and all I know is I want a refreshing surprise. I give the enchanting batista full on control. "Surprise me!" And the magic happens. Abracadabra! She sets me up with a "Glo Juice". It's a medley of different juices with a dash of cayenne. WHAT? YES IT IS! So delicious and fresh with a kick. Wow! Just Wow! If you're in Taos I strongly urge you to enjoy a libation from this funky and unique place. Just don't hike a freaking mountain while your gazelle offspring springs ahead! 🤣

From the drinks to the food Mountain Monk is top notch! Lacy makes everything in house from
scratch and you can taste and feel the love oozing out! You can’t go wrong with any dish but my personal fav has to be the avocado toast!

Super unique and fun drinks like the Sweet Beet, or many unique cacao offerings.

We stopped here after getting gas and attempting to find food there. So glad we skipped the gas station meal. The ladies working are lovely, the baked goods are so delicious. My kids liked the smoothie and soup and got a tasty sandwich and latte. They even have a cute shop dog. Highly recommend.

This is the feel good coffee shop you will love to visit over and over. I haven’t tried their food yet but definitely will. Their beverages are made with love and are delicious. Alternative milks are their norm. A sweet little pup there is so friendly and kind and will make you feel right at home. Headed back this morning! 🥰 ☕️ 🫖

Me and my partner stayed down the street from this amazingly comic little shop. Perfect for a morning brew and mushrooms with all kinds of add ons

Definitely my kind of shop. The woman running the place was very kind and helpful and the drinks she recommended were delicious.

I got to hang out for a couple of hours just enjoying the people, the animals and the smells from the shop. Checked out some of there reading material aswell.

I love a great shop with some interesting literature. They even seamed to support local artist. I am looking forward to coming back here again. ❤️❤️❤️

A great place to stop in for a warm drink, snack, and good vibes while in Taos. Lacy has put a lot of love and care into the space and it really shows. The gingerbread muffin is one of the best gluten free treats I’ve ever had! Drinks were good too. Highly recommend stopping in. Thanks Lacy 🙏🏼
