If I could give The Crown Inn zero stars, I would. The owners are some of the most condescending and unpleasant people I’ve ever encountered. Their attitude is downright rude, and they seem to take pride in belittling their customers rather than welcoming them.

To make matters worse, they have an absurdly strict no-dogs policy. Not even well-behaved dogs are allowed anywhere near the place! In this day and age, when so many establishments are pet-friendly, The Crown Inn clings to outdated and unfriendly rules that make dog owners feel completely unwelcome.

The atmosphere is cold, the service is abysmal, and unless you enjoy being talked down to while sipping on overpriced drinks, I’d suggest taking your business elsewhere. There are plenty of friendlier places nearby that actually appreciate their customers (and their furry companions!).

This is the worst hotel at which we've ever stayed. When I booked it, Hotels.com had it listed as 7.4 ("very good") and it allowed pets, so we felt OK about it. When we arrived it was NOT a 7.4 hotel. We were greeted warmly but the property was terrible. I checked Hotels.com without logging into my account and it was listed as 6.4!! I never book a room below 7, no matter what. I wonder if the 7.4 only came from pet owners or some other constraint applied, but I was lied to. If I left the hotel to find something else I would still be charged for it. We had no door lock other than a chain latch, and the chain latch was only held in by one screw which was halfway pulled out of the wall. I had to repair it myself but it still wasn't ever going to be secure. Thank god for #2. There was trash all over the parking lot and the dirt lot by our room. See the pics. The dumpster from the nearby business was overflowing. So.... Much... Trash... The room was cleaned, but the sheet were stained, the carpet was gross (not just old, but greasy), the bath tile grout was painted (!!!?) and half the paint had worn off so it looked awful. There was no spot in the shower to put soap. The owner promised us that she wouldn't rent the room above us (noise) but two people stayed up there all night making noise while smoking outside the rooms. I'm not easily skieved, but I surely was in the morning after a shower because anywhere I stepped would feel like I was dirty again. Yuch. I honestly would have left except that we had a dog and Hotels.com would still have charged me for the room. This may be the last Hotels.com room we ever book because I was lied to about the condition (and I don't like the rewards program anymore).

Gray, the owner, was so kind and accommodating. We got in very late, and he had no issues with checking us in and making sure that our room was set up. As two solo traveling girls, it was really important to us that we felt safe. The room was secure and also very comfortable. Thank you again for the great experience.

Front staff was friendly and helpful. The gentleman told me he had recently updated the property.

The room was large enough, with a kingsize bed and the bathroom was clean. However, the door to the room wouldn't close completely and the deadbolt wouldn't engage. I moved a table in front of the door and wedged it against the entry wall directly across from the door for some semblance of security.

The room appeared to have been painted recently and included a mini refrigerator and microwave. The room also included a tv and wifi service. However, flies swarmed the room... could be a consequence of cleaning with the door propped open...

I don't care so much about smudges on sheets, and I could have forgiven everything else, but the inability to properly close and lock the door really bothered me.

Bart and Amy are such good managers, had issues with first room due to size but they easily accommodated. Then had issues with ac in 2nd room so they moved us to another, again no issue. They made it so easy to get situated. Had a great experience, definitely recommend

Very friendly staff. The room was stremly clean and comfortable, we asked for extra pillows the brought them to our room. Quiet, microwave and refrigerator. Shower was clean and has hand rails for disabled people like me. Veteran discounts also. My wife and I are very grateful for such outstanding customer service. I highly recommend this Motel to anyone.
