We arrived after hours and it was getting late. We were able to stay there overnight and continue our journey the next day. They had maps and brochures outside the building which was very helpful. We found places to eat, Info on Capulin Volcano and great info on Raton. We were very grateful that they were there for us even though no one was there at the time.

Hard to find from the road if you don't know what you're looking for (I didn't!). Very nice building; cold ac! Drinking water fountain to fill water bottles is nice. A very pleasant, welcoming young lady/staff person greeted me when I arrived, while she was assisting another gentleman. Plenty of parking with shade.

Nice little stop if you need a restroom or tourist information. Staff were polite and there is a small geology museum on site with local finds.

Nice place, get a free map of New Mexico or Colorado as well as flyers about things to do in the area. Free stickers and patches, and nice Indigenous art as well as the usual touristy items. Friendly folks.

very quite and safe place to rest for the night as we were traveling in our van en route to Santa Fe. we didn’t get to go inside because they weren’t open by the time we left, but the town has a great, old western vibe!
