Soma Coffee Shop is an absolute gem! The cozy seating areas make it a perfect spot to relax, while the plenty of tables and chairs ensure there’s always space for a meal or a productive coffee session. The walls are lined with great chargers, making it an ideal workspace. Their bakery selection is top-notch, and the coffee is simply delicious. Every wall showcases beautiful artwork for exposure and sale, adding to the inviting atmosphere. Tiago, the incredible manager, leads a team that is welcoming, kind, and always ready to serve with warmth. Highly recommend this spot for both coffee lovers and creatives!

I’ve become a regular at this local coffee shop in Placitas, and for good reason. The staff is always friendly and takes the time to greet me by name, which makes me feel appreciated. They also love seeing my pup and treat him with kindness, which I truly appreciate.
The coffee and food are consistently good. Whether I go for breakfast or a midday snack, I’ve always enjoyed what I’ve ordered.
The drive-through is a convenient perk, making it easy to grab my coffee when I’m short on time. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend checking this place out. It's a solid spot that makes my mornings brighter!

The lattes were good, a bit small for the price but the atmosphere was great, a lot of people in there! Good muffins! And they also have rewards you can sign up for to gain points! I live in Placitas so there aren't many coffee shops i enjoy in the bernalillo area so I will be back!

Such an amazing atmosphere! Talk about a warm feeling when you first enter. I was greeted right away! When I got to the register Victoria and Thiago were so helpful. I would suggest the cinnamon scone and the lattes are extremely good. 10/10 service. You can tell that everyone is loving working and I will be coming back soon!

Pleasant environment. They have local art for sale on the walls. A few sofas to lounge on sipping your hot or cold beverage. They do have a food menu.

Wanted to give them a chance but instead of getting greeted warmly after walking over with my dog i got scolded and told to leave. Most coffee shops allow you to step inside with your dog to order, ie flying star, pinon coffee house humble, Blackbird, little bear, Starbucks, cut bow, even the airport coffee shop. Just while you order to go not to sit or stay. I was so excited for them and live a 5 minute walk away but will not be patronizing them for this. He didn't even ask nicely, just demanded I leave. We will be spending our money elsewhere. They say you only have one chance to make a great first impression. Not a good impression. Heartbroken over this. Guess the other coffee shops want my business. Way to alienate your neighbors who were championing for you.

Placitas has badly needed a great coffee shop. Soma is lovely and will prove to be super popular with all the locals / hikers / mountain bikers driving by on weekends.

I also heard that we can use the Blades' Bistro seating if we'd like to sit outside. This is great to know!

The owners are super nice and it was encouraging to see the shop busy and full this morning. Soma will definitely be my regular spot! Coffee is A+ and the pastries are good as well.

Side note: I highly doubt the customer in the 1-star review was "scolded." The owners do not seem like the type to do that at all (they were super nice to everyone today) and most businesses serving food don't allow dogs anyway unless they're service dogs.

During my visit, I had the London Fog with a touch of lavender, and it was simply divine! The perfect balance of flavors made my experience even more enjoyable.

Their app is a game-changer, allowing you to order your favorite drinks with ease. Plus, the rewards system is fantastic! Earn a point for every dollar spent and enjoy a free coffee after just 100 points.

From hot drinks to delicious snacks and sweet treats, the menu has something for everyone. The service is top-notch, making each visit a delightful experience.
