Horrible people/union got fired from ShopRite 2-3 years ago with one of their 1262 union reps he just sat there and dident say a word and watched me get fired now just a few days ago I just got fired from stop and shop which they are the same union this union rep named “RICH” has decided to debate with me through out the entire process while I’m trying to explain that I have been targeted and wrongfully suspended but no of course when I mention I’m getting targeted “RICH” decides to end the meeting and let me get fired this union needs to be deleted off the planet worst union out there and it’s a disgrace to the working class people 💯

The health insurance in the dental insurance offered by 1262 Union is by far the the worst insurance. They'll give you a sheet of providers saying that they take your insurance you schedule an appointment with this place get there and find out they no longer take your insurance. 1262 is doing a poor job of letting their members know who and what providers except their insurance. I feel so bad for the members that got 30 40 20 10 years in at this Union and can't even find a provider to get the necessary medical help that we need and so gratefully earned over their years

Union member since 1973. Enjoy my health benefits. Nice going to a dentist twice a year and not having to pay for service
Have used legal services to close on my home and for advice
Really appreciated my Blue Cross Blue Shield coverage for some major surgeries

President Wylie took time from his busy day when I had a personal dilemma to counsel me through this.

I have been serving as a shop steward and feel proud to keep the members informed of the many benefits of being a union member

My mother use to be covered under this union when she worked at shoprite. Her dental was all covered 100% didn't pay nothing out of pocket. Only problem is vision. She went for cataract surgery both eyes and they only paid a portion of it and left her with a $500 bill to pay and 4 copays of $45 per visit They are "CRAZY. I see they don't like paying. Just shows how greedy unions can be and leave you with a "BIG EXPENSE from your pocket.

Proud union member since 2008. Son of a retired shop steward. UFCW represents everything I believe in: Worker's rights, pensions, equal treatment of employees across the board, excellent benefits and wage increases. They're the only thing protecting us from the war on the working class. Support your local unions!!

I am a former member of 1262. I was also in the business for almost 40 years. I shop 1262 stores in North Jersey. I visited the new Whole Foods in Wall this morning, just to see what the they did with the location. There appeared to be 8 1262 members standing in two groups of 4 at the street entrance. The signs were on the ground and I doubt most people knew they were there. Any wonder why non union stores are cleaning your clock?

Why do they keep charging me an initiation fee?! Initiation is ONE time, not three! I hate this company. I called them twice to see if I could get out of this "union" and they told me I have the wrong number. The third time the lady was rude and told me I would have to quit my job if I wanted to leave... They need to be investigated pronto.
