What a wonderful store. When you walk in you don’t know where to go first. All the items are lovely and so unique. I don’t think I have ever come to this store without purchasing something. On a recent stop I purchased this lovely garden ornament. I have received so many compliments. The staff are very knowledgeable and always willing to help when you have a question. This is my favorite store in LBI.

My favorite shop on LBI! Every summer, my favorite part of our annual trip is my shopping spree at How To Live. Their clothing is beautiful and unique, but truly, my favorite aspect of the shop is their home decor. So many beautiful serving pieces, candles, and knick knacks. I always find at least a dozen items that help to make a house a home. It’s such a special place. If you love chic coastal decor and style, you will love this shop!

Went in to shop tonight with my 15 month old. She was a little edgy as it was close to her bed time. However the two associates (a younger male and younger female) pulled out all the stops to help me complete my purchase while helping to entertain her. They talked to her, laughed with her and genuinely did it because they wanted to. They were so sweet and went the extra mile! 🙂 will be back!

I was in LBI in June and I purchased a necklace from how to live. It was $25 and it was a little gold plated Sand Dollar.
The first time I put it on at home, it broke at the clasp. I put it back on its card that still had their price tag on it with their store name on it because I knew I would be returning in August
Well-I was there this past weekend and went into the store and told the woman at the desk what happened. She could not have cared less and was unwilling to make it right. She said that there was no way that they could take it back because they couldn’t put it back on the shelf. Well, if they could put it back on the shelf, I would not have been returning it! It would’ve been around my neck.
I can honestly say that I will never step foot in that store again. Most of the things in the store are way overpriced. You can do much better at your local HomeGoods for many of the same items. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service I received.

In general, I love this shop ~ very sweet gifts, decor and affordable boutique clothing. I was extremely disappointed today, however. I am 2 weeks post hip surgery, and I was refused access to the bathroom. I certainly understand that there’s a policy, but I do think at times exceptions should be made. I was walking slowly and with a cane. The girl at the register did speak with the manager at my request, and came back with a firm NO. I love to shop in your store, spent a good bit the last time I was in. I also appreciate the story behind how your store began, and was inspired by that. So, I’m still feeling shocked that the manager wouldn’t consider this, didn’t even speak to me, on a Monday when there were few other customers in the store.

The no exchange for clothing is on the counter where you place your purchases. The writing is so small that even when nothing is on the counter you can’t read it. I purchased something for my daughter that she didn’t like. She never even tried it on. It was in perfect condition. They would not exchange and pointed out the tiny sign that I couldn’t read without reading glasses. I would never step foot in their business again. Poor return policy without proper signage!!

Awesome store. When you walk in your breath is taken away, you don’t know where to go first. The owner Sandy is such a sweet and kind lady. They put a lot of time and effort into there store. Be sure to check out her original artwork on the cards and books she’s puts out.
