New truck was not on the NM account, we said we will added now, it takes 5min. Officer said no you still have to pay $25.
We had similar situation in the past few times and had no issues adding the truck at the time and were good to go without paying $25 but not this time. Officer really wanted us to pay $25 but at the end charged $55 with out explaining anything.
Not to mention they are not too nice there as well.

They want to sell you permits and charge by the mile every time you go through the state but when there's a wreck and there's traffic lined up for miles upon miles they'd rather sit there and be sucking each other off, 4 hrs sitting in the same spot and counting.

They want that permit fee. Be prepared to pay 60$ if you don't have an annual permit.

Unlike the other end of i40 they refuse to accept EFS/comdata checks etc for the permits. Treat drivers like company errors are our fault. Credit or debit only and if you don’t have it, you’re held until you do. Seems like there would be continuity between different offices of the same entity.
