What a hidden camping gem! Our first time hauling our travel trailer and we couldn’t have asked for a better host! They welcomed us with a warm smile and guided us to our spot. They made us feel comfortable and even helped us park our travel trailer. This location is peacefully located in a quiet, clean- serene area of Alto.
Bonito Lake is just a short distance away from the campground which is definitely a plus for early morning fishing! The campground is dog friendly! We were greeted by deer every morning, such a delight. You will not be disappointed!
We are already planning our next relaxing getaway!

Greeted personally by owners upon arrival. We were shown our RV location and introduced to all of the amenities on site. It was very quiet, even with others camping on site as well. Views and hiking the area is without equal.

The campground is in a very quaint and a secluded area just outside of Alto & Ruidoso. The spaces provided for the campers are not super tight and clustered like some of the other big name campgrounds. The grounds and the facilities were kept nicely and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. |Special shout out to the staff and specially to Marshal (owner) and Charlie for helping us out with the troubles we had with our camper. We were first time newbies to camping with our camper and made some newby mistakes. They were so nice and helpful! Very patient and empathetic with our mistakes. |Definitely coming back to the area and staying at Bonito Hollows!

The quiet atmosphere and sound of the bubbling creek set the stage for a good weekend for my family. We enjoyed the campground's distance from town while still being close enough for a short drive. The campground gives the impression of a riverside meadow. It lacks the cluttered, overfull feel of some other sites we have seen in the area. We enjoyed seeing the wild horses, turkeys, and elk that luve nearby. Our last morning, we watched a herd of deer wander through the campground, eating grass and weaving between campers. The showers are hot and the wifi works, if inconsistently. Overall, this is one of our favorite spots for a quick getaway.

My stay at Bonito Hollow RV Park & Campground was GREAT! From the ease of making my reservations over the phone with a kind and friendly person and the follow up emails, the service was excellent! When I arrived I was greeted by the friendly staff! I was treated like an old friend. I was shown the way to my camp site and was assisted in backing my trailer into the space. I was shown where everything was on the map and was told if i needed anything to just ask. The campground was beautiful! My site was next to the river and the sounds of nature were amazing! The restroom / shower house was very well kept and very clean. The place definitely had a great summer camp feel. I will definitely be back! I am already planning my next stay with family and friends! I loved it here!

This place is great!! Beautiful, spacious, and quiet. We traveled with friends in two other trailers and did a little riding. Staff is very friendly, they escort you to your site and help get you backed in if needed. Sites are well spaced apart so you have a little yard room. Clean bathrooms and laundry. The fenced in dog area is nice too. Abundant wildlife!! Watch out for the ravens, they like shiny things! Tried to steal the foil grease trap on the grill every day. LOL
I would definitely recommend this place!!

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Bonito Hollow. It’s a beautiful park with very friendly staff. The sites are nicely spaced so you’re not too close to your neighbors. It’s just 10 miles from Ruidoso and was totally unaffected by the recent fires and flooding. Highly recommended.

Really liked our stay at this park with the exception of power issues at our site (58). Every afternoon our Hughes Watchdog would kill power to our trailer due to low voltage on one leg of the 50amp service. Power would cycle on and off multiple times throughout the afternoon until temps cooled down and there was less demand on the system. This made for some uncomfortable afternoons with A/C going off and on. Our neighbors seem to have been unaffected but I’m assuming that is because they did not have any kind of power management that monitored for low voltage. We also had a ‘missing ground’ error on the 30amp outlet when I tried it. Both issues were reported to park management twice but no one ever came to look at the pedestal or check in with us on the problem. |Other than the above issue we really liked the park. It was clean and the spaces were not crammed right on top of each other. WiFi was available (No cell service with Verizon) and it worked pretty good. We plan to return at a future time but we won’t be staying in space 58.
