This review is a long time coming and I regret not putting it together sooner.

I bought my dress in December 2021 and my wedding was in April 2022. The alterations staff got my dress together in under 2 weeks because they were absolute heroes. The veil I got was supposedly the only one left of that style in any of the stores, which I was given a good discount on. The floor manager was a real kind to me and I couldn't have been more grateful to her for her grace. I live overseas and I only came back to America for 3 weeks for my wedding. Truly, the alterations staff were wonderful and assured me they could do the alterations in the short time.

The only feedback I could give is that I wish the floor staff had been more helpful for getting into the dresses and helping me choose one. I guess I was a little disenchanted by growing up watching "Say Yes to the Dress" and the floor staff didn't help me at all with dresses. My mom got me in and out of the dresses instead. I also really didn't want to ring the bell for having chosen my dress. That was really embarrassing for me.

This was my first time and experience dress shopping. I did not go in expecting to love it but I did. Karen was my stylist , I was very pleased. Karen was very sweet, attentive and made sure to make the vision work and that I loved it. The staff in the background were very friendly and supportive as well. I found a dress I really like !

Our bridal sales associate Daniela was wonderful. The only reason it’s a four star is on management and how it could have been more streamlined. An associate called out and I had to share the associate. The manager could have at least stepped in and help versus standing around at the front desk.
A one hour appointment is insufficient time if you didn’t bring someone with you to help. I basically had my sisters help pick out dresses and had one of them help me in and out of dresses trying them on.
I think an hr appointment could be better utilized if clients can come 30 minutes before their appointment to browse and pick out the four dresses they would like to try on. Because that alone eats up your appointment time. And not having someone assists to put on and take off these wedding dresses are a challenge when done singularly.
It’s a missed opportunity for the company if clients are not given adequate time and attention to guide them in finding their dress that’s suited for them.

No matter what we needed, she was there with a smile and expert advice. She even took the time to sign us up for the Diamond program, making our shopping experience even better. Sometimes as a bride we think we know what style dress we want. After trying on a bunch of dresses. I was impressed when the stylist brought something that described her perfectly. My sister looked so beautiful in the dress. Thank you!!!

I went to David’s Bridal in Totowa on March 21 around 11 AM to go prom dress shopping with my friend, who is 16; I'm 20. As soon as we arrived, we were asked if we had an appointment, which we didn’t, and we told them it was fine and we could skip signing in. We were shown where the prom dresses were by a nice girl named Emily who was helpful the whole time. We weren’t told there was a limit to how many she could try on at a time, so we grabbed an assortment of different kinds, as she didn’t know what color, style, or anything she wanted. As soon as we went back to the fitting rooms, we were put in a secluded area away from any workers. This was also by the shoes and accessories. My friend went to the bathroom, and as she was walking out, she was bombarded by this woman named Hope. She started questioning us as to what we were doing over in the back fitting room area, treating us as criminals like we were trying to steal shoes and accessories. When she moved us, she took the dresses and started questioning the choices my friend picked out as if they weren’t good. We were aware some of the dresses she picked out were bridesmaid dresses, but she liked the styles so she was trying them on for options, but Hope said judgmentally and nastily, “You know those are bridesmaid dresses, right?” We knew that and told her that, but she was weird about it. The first dress my friend tried on was too small, and it was evidently shown in her chest area (as she is bigger-chested), and Hope snorted laughing and said, “Absolutely not,” to my friend. This was extremely hurtful to my friend as she was just trying to try dresses on, and it’s even more hurtful when the workers are negative and discouraging when they should be helpful. This is also something inappropriate to say to a minor. It's not funny. She continued to try on more dresses, and Hope stayed in the area watching us like hawks, like we were doing something wrong. After trying on more dresses, I went to get my friend a different size in a dress that was too small on her, and Hope said to the other worker, “I hate when bigger girls try on dresses that are too small; it’s so unflattering.” I found this very unprofessional and hurtful because it’s rude to comment on someone’s body type, especially when they are a complete stranger, especially a child at that. After that, Hope said to me that “we really need to sign in because we’ve been there for longer than an appointment time, and it was getting to be too long.” I explained to her that no one explained there was a “limit” on time and that we were told we didn’t need to sign in when we first got there. I've also been to this specific location before and was never told we were there too long. After this, my friend found the dress she loved, and when Hope walked by, she rolled her eyes. It’s very discouraging and hurtful when workers are speaking badly and acting inappropriately towards paying customers. If my friend didn’t find a dress she loved, I would not have given David’s Bridal my business simply because of this employee. I do have to say though that Emily, August, and Antonia were so kind and helpful and made the experience so much better. Emily was able to have August and Antonia get my friend’s dress altered right then and there and were so kind to us. Hope tried to take credit for that, but it was all thanks to Emily, not Hope. Hope was no help at all. If I were to come back and give David’s Bridal my business, it would be because of Emily, August, and Antonia and definitely not for Hope. It is a shame we were treated this way by Hope because David’s Bridal should be a place where women should feel most comfortable because trying on dresses can be an overwhelming and emotional process, and being treated the way we were was unacceptable and cruel.
