Nice place with good selections. My wife was given a bagel that had obviously not risen and was flat and mushy. Guy totally ignored that and said it was a bagel. The 2 other bagels were good with nice loft. Treat your customers better. If the bagel was flattened that much when cutting, that is also an issue.

So I've been going here for awhile... I have also made several trips to return food that wasn't what I ordered. Today I ordered a chicken panini get home and it's got portabella instead of chicken. Bring it back get the correct order and come home to take a bite and find that this time they gave me undercooked chicken. Called to tell him I want a credit and it felt like I was blown off because I'm not driving back a third time today. Seems like the best in Sussex county only counts when they are doing it right but when you call them out on the mistakes it's never their fault.

Last week I got a breakfast sandwich that was put on a Burnt half a bagel. Turning a whole sandwich into a half since it wasn't edible. The time before I received a Taylor ham that was so over cooked I tossed half the meat to make it somewhat enjoyable.

Is this normal for them, absolutely not but there seems to be a definite quality control and I have more problems when they are not busy compared to a Saturday Sunday where you can wait 20-30 minutes in line before even ordering.

Stick to this place when they are busy to get what you order done right!

Went back a month later and upon placing my order he sarcastically says "Thanks for the review"

You had a chance to earn my respect back and possibly fix and remove the review, but he doubled down and tried to explain the reason for the mistakes but he should have just apologized. I also thought he blew me off when I asked for credit, of course I paid for my bagel today which was less than the undercooked chicken. His excuse was he had the cook rush because of the wrong order, but you can't rush chicken, that's how people get sick!

So if you're gonna give them a bad review make sure you're ready to deal with a retaliation from them. What a waste it took them 6 months to alienate a new local resident with 7 issues in 6 months. Real classy employee!

Don't worry, I won't make the mistake of giving you another chance. Way to treat new people.

Awesome local bagel/deli. Owner and staff are friendly and helpful. Bagels are great, so are their subs (we use them to cater birthday parties). It can get pretty busy during breakfast(Saturday and Sunday especially) and Lunch so call in your order if you don’t want to wait a few minutes

Huge shout out and thanks to Hamburg Hot Bagels for sponsoring the Park Cleanup at Wheatsworth Park on 3/29/25. Akeef didn't hesitate to donate two dozen bagels with the works to the community event once he heard of the event. He's a staple in the community and everyone agrees that he is not only a warm and generous person but has one of the best bagel places around. Anytime you walk in you are met with a smile from Akeef and more likely than not, you and him will be on a first-name basis in no time! Really a great guy and place!

Best bagels I've had outside NYC. The employees were ridiculously friendly even though they were swamped. The cream cheese is to die for and the bagel sandwiches are delicious. They have several flavors of cream cheese that are made fresh. Many varieties of bagels too! So good I wanted it for breakfast and lunch 😄

Aside from bagels they have various bakery items (baklava, muffins, crumb cake, brownies, etc), paninis, salad platters and a huge array of sandwiches.
This is a must stop and worth a drive from out of town even. They are that good.

This is the best bagel place in Sussex county. Hands down. No contest. They are fast and friendly and the owner will make you laugh/bring a smile to your face. He takes pride in his shop and gives love to his customers. They can get quite packed so I recommend calling in your order if you are in a rush.

We absolutely LOVE this bagel shop. They have great food and the best service around.
The owner is so friendly and very welcoming. Our food is always done to expectation and delicious. It's our go to spot for bagels.

Awesome place. Wayyyy better than lox. They even have different flavored cream cheese like ice creams. I was totally blown away. They take cards and we're very polite and quick. The only down side was the bagels were on the smaller side but other than that what an amazing place
