I’m a 2014 Graduate of Sussex Tech, & I would’ve given a 5 Star Rating 10 years ago. Heck, probably even a 10 Star Rating if I could’ve. Even though I’m not attending there at the moment, I feel the pain of the current student body. They have cut so many Shops, Academics, Clubs, etc since I’ve went there. Graphic Design doesn’t look like it’s there anymore, Debate Team & SADD were wonderful Clubs that I was in that are no longer there, Foundations of Edication class is no longer there, etc. I feel as though Sussex Tech has gone downhill. I am glad I attended there the years that I did. It was so much better back in 2010-2014.

Cutting program after program this school is a shell of your former self. Put pressure on these administrators to do better.

Modla you need to resign
Petition. Organize school walkouts. Take back your school and reclaim your education.
Make it news what they are doing.

This school is cutting shops that students are actively enrolled in, some of whom are close to graduation, this is severely detrimental, and is robbing them of a career that they have been working for years towards

The BOE is unnecessarily cutting shop programs, which for many older students means not being able to finish an education that they have already worked years for. This is very saddening…

I go here and I love the teachers except some but the staff is so nice and they care about their students so much!

They are cutting very important programs from the school which is clearly harming students especially those currently enrolled in these programs.

So far the school is pretty good even with Covid but I wish there where more possible non-sport activities around regardless like choir, marching band, or orchestra since yes I know, the name says TECHNICAL so of course that isn't going to really fit in but when I was little I wanted to at least be in marching band. But I still love the school and I wouldn't know where I'd be without it, for real. I definitely recommend it if you are unsure if you want to go since at least the shops are awesome especially if you are in culinary since you get a lot of knowledge, get certified with serf safe, free stuff, and plus the chefs can help you pretty much get a job anywhere in the country. I do recommend though not doing any honors classes freshman year ( what I'm doing) since it can be a TON of stress and that it is best to get used to the regular classes you can move up or if you already are in honors and it's too stressful you can move back down and no one will judge you! I used to get bullied a lot from pretty much pre-school up until the end of 6th grade and luckily Tech so far I haven't had any problems with people making fun of me at least that I know of. But other than that, it's a pretty good school.

I don't even consider myself alumni. Since I've been out of this school, my mental health has been 10000x better. I could go on about teachers and administration that were straight up racist but I'm not going to waste anymore time with this school.
