We needed a part for our furnace on the 3rd of July, a Saturday, at 3:40 in the afternoon. We called The Plumbing Store and the person who answered said he had the part but was closing soon and we are 40 minutes away. He went above and beyond and said he would stay open until we got there since we were totally stuck without the part. More people like that is what we need in this world. So grateful for his help

Outstanding help for the DIY guy or gal. Expert advice, answer questions, and reasonably priced. You probably won’t have to make a return trip to pick up something the box store pro didn’t tell you about. Gary and Sal are class acts. Even if you didn’t quite measure it correctly. Highly recommend a visit or better yet call them, they actually answer your questions or point you in the right direction.

As a homeowner, I have shopped here several times before and have always had a good experience. I went there today to look for an older style American Standard shower control valve. I showed the part to the gentleman behind the counter, and in what seemed like less than a minute the part was located and I was checking out. The part cost less than I was expecting to pay also. I believe when you find a store that specializes in something like plumbing, you will benefit not just from the inventory they carry, but from the years of experience and knowledge the people working there have.

I bought my 2 family home in 1999 and it came with 2 very old oil steam furnaces. From 1999 till 2013 these guys helped me maintain and repair my old furnaces. First few times they repaired them and since then they helped me by selling me the correct parts and giving me free advice.
Once the 2 units died, Sal sold me one very powerful Crown Boiler.
It heats the entire house and even though it cost me over $7,500 he was still cheaper than the 3 other estimates I received.
This was a big job.They came with 3 men to deliver, take apart, install and reconnect the new unit to my pipes.
Sal is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful.
Always willing to help...Not like other guys that simply want the job and don't care to offer alternatives or sell you the correct parts.
Yes you may pay a little bit more on certain items but you get it all back in knowledge and help.
Even now ..after 5 years into my new furnace, a manufacturers defect caused a leak on the internal cast of my new furnace has damaged it extensively and although this is not caused by Sal's installation.
He still stands by his work and is now assisting me in getting Crown Boiler to expedite new cast parts before winter sets in.
Anyone that knows Sal and his crew will tell you how well he knows his business.
I'm going on 20 years his client.
Whoever bad mouths Sal, his crew or the Plumbing Store must have bad relationships everywhere he goes.. And that goes for his 2 friends as well.
Sal is by no means a thief.
Yes a little bit higher in price but you won't get this kind of knowledge at Home Depot, Ace Hardware or Lowe's.
Isn't great advice worth just a little more?

I've been a long time customer of these guys and I've been doing plumbing for over 20 years. I love going here instead of the box stores. Yes, on some things I pay slightly more, like bulk copper pipe which these guys simply can't buy in the quantities for discounts like some of the Walmartesque competition. That said, I also never spend 45 minutes here hunting for the parts I need. I also never leave there thinking they (like the box stores) seem to strategically don't have simple little things that force me into more expensive solutions, and I never have to hunt and wait, for help like I do at the big evil time sucker stores.

These guys know what they're doing, they're happy to contribute knowledge and help, and they typically have what i need and know where to find it within minutes. My time is worth money, and they save me way more in time than I save in pennies by shopping at a box store. Most recently my own hot H20 heater kicked the bucket and I called around trying to find the replacement ignitor I needed getting quotes of $90 plus for a generic replacement. These guys had the exact replacement part in stock (used!) and got it to me for $30, tested it right in front of me to show me it was working and now my pregnant wife will get a shower tonight and I saved not only time and guess work trying to adapt some generic part to fit my bill, but I got confidence and support. In short, after dealing with these guys for almost 10 years, I have zero idea what the complaining reviews here are about. Slightly more on certain items yes, but not thieves or anything like it. I'm guessing some poor sap that doesn't value the same things I do didn't like a price and got 3 friends to sign up and say the same thing. I like finding what I need fast, getting the help I want fast, and finding the solution I want fast instead of having to jury rig some contraption to make it work. If you're a do it yourself person who wants input, or you're a contractor who realizes the value of your money, save frustration and buy from this reliable local store.

The owner was friendly and knowledgeable. I was only looking for a small part and he he brought me 3 options. The store is neat and organized. This is the place you will want to go for all your plumbing needs.
