If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. On top of the beautiful beach front property that is guaranteed to take your breath away, the staff is out of this world. ||The kindness, hospitality, and attention to detail is like no other. Allison and Bob do whatever they can to make you feel like you are royalty staying at this property, I’m not kidding. The hotel is right in front of the beach, you’re able to hop on the boardwalk and head down for miles. I recommend a sunset walk! ||I’m one of the drivers of the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile and we were able to park it at the property. If your car is bigger than 27 feet, they’ve got space haha!

The hotel is right on Ocean Ave and a perfect location. Spring Lake is an impeccable town with tree-lined streets and majestic homes.
We stayed on a Saturday night in October. The room was small and the bed was very uncomfortable. It felt like they tried to improve the mattress topping and we needed to lift higher to get onto it. It was soft and uneven.
One side of the bed had about 1ft” to squeeze by. With renovations they took space from the hallway. We spent about $325 and this was off season. We would have spent less for a 4 star upscale. hotel. So very disappointed in the room.
We dined at Amelia’s on their front porch. That was an exquisite meal and great service. We dined there many years ago when it was a different owner. It was a lovely romantic experience back then. So I assumed it would be the same. However if you’re looking for a quiet romantic dinner, this isn’t the place since it’s quite noisy with music.
The little town of Spring Lake is filled with upscale boutiques and wonderful eateries for breakfast and lunch.

My friend and i have been going to the GVI for over 4 years. We feel like Family and very special friends. This is Not a B and B nor your "call and get what you want" hotel. It's a very cozy, friendly Inn that is located in a Fantastic location.! If you are Low maintenance and just like to Chill...this is it...WAY better than up or down the down the road places!!

From the moment my friend and I walked in I knew I made the right choice to stay at beautiful Spring Lake! The manager was the first person we came in contact with and she was unbelievably friendly and accommodating, we talked with her for probably five minutes before we even started our check-in. It was wonderful. The room was spotless. It was sanitized. The beds were perfectly made and perfectly clean. The bathroom was spotless. Carpets were spotless. There were so many extras that sometimes you don’t get there is there was ice there was water. It was just wonderful. The boutique had bikes that we could use. We went for a wonderful bike ride through the town in the morning. They had beach chairs available. They had beach passes available. Anything that you would need even beach Towels! I can’t say enough about the staff and how friendly they were. They have a golf cart and the driver is so friendly and he’s there at your service to take you around town or to a restaurant so convenient. The location is perfect. Just walk across the street and you’re at the beach parking was easy, the landscaping was beautiful. I will definitely return to the grand Victorian we have so much fun thank you.

We traveled to the Spring Lake area for a family/friend gathering and stayed at the Grand Victorian. We were greeted by Bob and Allison upon our arrival and felt so welcomed!! Allison was so accommodating and pleasant. Her enthusiasm about the property was so infectious that we are already planning our next stay soon!! Spring Lake beaches and boardwalk are beautiful, we grew up in this area but moved away 14 years ago and were so pleased to see how quiet and peaceful this area still is while being so close to so much fun, restaurants and bars. We found our new favorite place and will be back!!

This property has had many upgrades and major improvements since the last time we stayed many years ago and we were thoroughly impressed! |The entire staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The grounds were impeccable. Our room #3, on the second floor was very clean, bed extremely comfy. It had 3 windows one of which gave a spectacular view for the sunrise. The location is perfect! Steps from the beach; bonus is that beach tags, chairs, umbrellas and towels provided, we did not use provided bikes. There was never a line to wait for early morning coffee downstairs. We knew breakfast was not included or on site. There is a side lawn with chairs, and the boardwalk which is steps away has plentiful benches to sit and relax in the evening. We look forward to booking another stay at the Grand Victorian! We noticed that the boardwalk and beach area to be very safe and has a strong police presence, also found beach patrol and lifeguards very helpful. (Observed a young lifeguard go and offer aid to elderly folks walking through the sand to their beach chairs)|(Our favorite place to eat is a short drive to Belmar for amazing vegetarian food at Kaya’s Kitchen…save room for dessert!)

Perfect get away for our anniversary and staff (including Allison) went above and beyond to make sure our stay was nice. Very clean room, comfy bed and spacious bathroom. Only recommendation I would suggest to make the room even more perfect is a light in the closet and additional bathroom counter space.

Love this hotel! Allison and Bob are wonderful!!
This is a great place to stay, small but quaint and nicely updated … and very clean!
Love the Icona brand …We can’t wait to come back.
