I love chain hotels like Courtyard Marriott. Prices are usually pretty reasonable, and most of the properties are very similar. You know exactly what you’re gonna get: clean, comfortable rooms, homey lobbies, and a handful of amenities like a business or fitness center to enhance your stay. ||This hotel is no different. We were in the area for a wedding, and got a good deal on this property, since December is the off-season for the Jersey shore. However, we did get a pleasant surprise. The lobby was decorated in a lovely holiday theme, and each guest got their own complimentary stocking full of goodies! ||The front desk staff were super friendly, the location is very convenient - right off the garden state parkway, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Everything I could’ve expected and wanted from a chain hotel like this one.

Stayed here for 2 nights while attending a nearby wedding. The staff was nice and the lobby nicely decorated for the holidays. But this was the most unusual stay at a courtyard I've ever experienced. I've been a Bonvoy member for over 20 years and have stayed at dozens of courtyards, but this was quite different. When we checked in, we were asked to sign a form filled with rules. From honoring quiet hours, to agreeing not to set off fireworks. When I mentioned that I thought this was weird, the front desk attendant said, we get all kinds here, and it was for our safety. The rooms were the most poorly lit, I've ever experienced. Even with every light turned on we felt like we were in the dark. When we put the shower on, the water was still cold after 5 minutes, I called down and was told to give it 15 minutes. Sure enough, we had to run the water 15 minutes every time we used it.

My stay was fine, but after checkout, I left my device there and went to go pick it up. The case was broken on it, and I was very angry. I asked the manager about it and he didn’t take responsibility for it at all. Although I have points with Marriott this particular one frustrated me. Suffice to say I will be looking for a different one to stay at next time.

Great hotel. Many attractions in the surrounding area. The staff is among the best! Very helpful and friendly. Rooms are nice but could use some updating. Still, the property is well maintained. Somewhat overpriced. Very comfortable beds.

It's unassuming from the outside but pretty great on the inside. Just took away a star due to the limited hours of The bistro and the TV was kind of an awkward position in our room. However, as a whole it is still a great place to stay for if you're going to a wedding near by. We even had the after party here and it was bumping!

Stayed for a wedding at the country club. Every staff was extremely amazing, nice and sweet.

The room looked clean until I found this.
It was on a corner edge of the bathroom sink counter.. honestly, so gross.
And a small trash under the bed was not collected from the previous stay…

This hotel was a bit of a disappointment for a Marriot. It is definitely subpar to Marriot standards and felt more like a budget motel. Also the staff lied to me about pricing when booking my room. I was supposed to get a wedding block rate but ended up paying the full amount which was about 50% more. Management didn't care what the front desk had told me when I brought this to their attention. Would not stay here again.
